A Brew Is All I Need.
No need for fancy drinks or wine

A Brew Is All I Need.
Who needs a glass of wine?
No, not me,
I am happy
With a mug of tea.
PG Tips,
Good and strong,
Put the kettle on,
You can’t go wrong.
Give me my flat cap,
My glasses too,
Pull up a chair,
I’ll share one with you.
I’ve seen some years,
I’ve seen some sights,
I’ve had bad mornings
And sleepless nights.
But when life starts
Getting on my nerves,
A steaming brew
Is what I deserve.
No fancy cups,
No silver tray,
Just fill my mug
And make my day.
Two little biscuits
Sitting on my plate,
One for me,
And one for my mate.
The dog looks up
With begging eyes,
He’s after my biscuit,
The cheeky little guy.
I guard that plate
Like buried gold,
You don’t nick biscuits
From someone this old.
The world can rush,
The world can speed,
A brew is all
I really need.
So here’s to tea,
Good, hot and strong,
A proper British brew
When the day’s gone wrong.
No champagne cork,
No fancy feed,
Put the kettle on—
A brew is all I need.
