Dear Life,

from the base of the skull,

to the tip of the toe,

you know,

this thing we call body,

the muscular definitive of splendor,

sleek and strong,

like a well versed song,

then suddenly, just like magic,

bad magic,

that body turns shoddy,

with age comes wear, comes tear,

with age we gain chronic pain,

with age comes attitude,

“I don’t care”,

I hurt everywhere!

introduce the meds,

a handful twice a day,

meant to take the pain away,

oooooops!

no relief,

what’s in belief?

hope for better,

maybe an old folks setter?

come the future, expect a suture,

or two or three,

to close the incision,

for that replaced knee,

be careful, don’t slip,

and break a hip,

yes, more surgery!

yet in the end, we will defend,

when all’s said and done,

growing up and getting old, was truly so much fun.

Sincerely,

Living Proof

my weather forecasting body fabricated this little jewel, hope you get a smile for just a while,

Thanks for reading
