A baby's heart

Hi, I'm new.

By Abbey Published 3 years ago Updated 3 years ago 1 min read

A baby’s heart

starts beating

at 4-6 weeks old.

But,

No one told me

there is a catch

to our

beloved,

human nature.

At only sixteen

I fell in love too young.

Now,

my infant heart,

is spoiled from

the inside

out.

Love,

is the kind of pain

that steals away time.

In many ways,

It’s uncontrolled.

It wants to keep going.

But,

for someone so new,

what a gruesome way to go.

If I’m a child

dying

of heartache,

and no one

supplied,

will my rhythm

stride to a halt?

All I can do

is hope

my life

goes to someone

whose existence

was not stolen,

before it even began.

...

heartbreak
