Today is the last time our eyes will meet
Jagged lines carved through rough skin will catch the cascading tears
I hope they hold them gently.
I'm not afraid of what's next
But afraid of what comes before
But not enough to salvage what is here now.
Your brain will shiver with guilt
But I hope not long
It is not the world's fault for being so heavy.
You are my world.
