Is this perhaps what they mean when they say the grass is greener?

It was dull when we buried you here last winter.

1 year has passed

New memories have amassed

The sun is a little brighter

The leaves are full of color

My coffee full of flavor

Is this perhaps what they mean when they say it gets better?

‘Don’t—don’t go.

Don’t carry it to someone else this time.

Tell me about it if it’s something human.

Let me into your grief. - Robert Frost
