cruel, bitter diva

with victim mentality,

the malicious mob

defending dear leader’s

unethical behavior,

45 or 47 declaring war

without consulting Congress.

Genuine

Atrocity

fit the constructed

narrative, alternate facts

and loaded language

framing a perceived threat:

a desert water supply dry,

twenty thousand thirsty throats—

slain is not slaked.

A dead bird

in the pit

exhaling the fire within

rises from ash,

flaming wings spread,

swirling cinders into blocks,

temperature no longer temperate,

torment tallied,

talismans and torts,

tandem taxis trolling,

talons tearing air

out of the sky,

ascending.
