Impact reverberating in the air.
Ricocheting pieces cut
Dull against your gaze.
Throwing bottles
Dry drowning daily--
Bloated body bobbing before sinking slowly.
Soul settling
Sentiment strewn bottom-side.
Desperate fingers--
Gripped glass against skin,
Holding on.
Seeking pain in bloodlines, red roots
Bare hands searching to feel you
But they can’t.
