Almost 28 - made it halfway to safety.

Can't give up now, but I'm losing it lately.

Pausing on dreams cause these agents might hate me,

And if I hit it big the universe might take me.

Scared of white lighters - I can't take the flame.

The smoke in my lungs; it can't numb the pain.

The pills on my tongue make the voice a little softer,

But she stays on my shoulder with no one to stop her.

Laughter, it echoes, between these four walls.

No amount of silence can erode the logical flaws,

So I stare at four screens to keep the demons busy.

If I stop for a minute, they tell me they miss me.

Obsessively waiting for the day I am free.

Compulsively pacing until quarter to three.

Disorderly conduct - disturbing my peace.
