2 am and the alarm goes off again

2 am and the alarm goes off again

I was deep asleep 

Then there was a loud beep 

Didn't think it was any of the sheep

Hid under my sheet 

It continued so thought I had better take a peek

Walked around hoping to not look like a creep

Heard one of the floorboards creak 

Almost made me freak

Switched off and just get back to sleep 

Felt like I was going under 

Needed to think of a number 

This would help me to slumber 

Started to dream again and almost thought a nightmare began

In my mind I wondered what would happen if I ran
