All That Could Have Been

2% chance that the bad thing would happen

98% chance that it wouldn't

Anyone would bet on the 98%

But fate felt jilted and wanted her voice heard

Now I walk like a ghost through my life

Nothing matters anymore now that you're gone

I am haunted by all that could have been

And damned to hurt over that damned 2%

I listen through walls

At heartbeats loud and strong

While they look inside me

To find emptiness and silence

The life that I have left to live

Seems too long now that I have to live it without you

Everything that was me is gone

It's doing it's best to follow you into the dark
