I miss you.

Well. Not you. I miss you wanting me.

I miss the way I’d get excited when I’d see your name light up on my phone.

“Hello? I’m so glad you called. I can’t believe she said that to you. No— you were definitely in the right.”

I’m sleeping with the fan on again. And someone new. She’s snoring, competing with the fan’s drone.

She wants me now. We’ll see how long that lasts…

I open my phone. Nothing on the screen but the time.

2:13 a.m.

I miss you.
