Nineteen years ago today
I remember, it liked it was yesterday
Me, in my off white renaissance wedding dress
You, in your beige suit
Looking, so dashing
As I come, down from inside the cabin
With my father at hand
Giving me away
On this beautiful day
Up in red feather lakes
Your mom marrying us
Paul reading something
I asked, him to write, for us on our special day
As we said, our vows
You promised, me you would be there for me for all the good and bad times
But, here we are 19 years later divorced
Still the best of friends and you have been there for most of the good and bad
So, thank you, for being there for me when I need it the most.
This day is still special to me
After all of these years
I can’t believe it’s been 19 years
Best of friends through
Thick and thin
From my
Depression
Anxiety
Hospitalization
Self Sabotaging
Post Partum
Autistic child
You are still here
when I need you the most
After 19 plus years
