A Poem

By Atomic HistorianPublished 7 days ago • 1 min read

I’ve died a thousand times

Every close call

Every time it felt like I was dying

Part of me did

I am not the only one

I am just the one who’s line continued on

Blind luck

No skill

No thrill at the idea

That’s all life is

An unimaginable series of probabilities

The odd odds working in your favor

No magic

No gods

Just flawed mathematics

Deciding whether you stay clean

Or become an addict

These are the strange thoughts

That rummage around in my attic
