1.2 Watching, Waiting
The ache of seeing others soar while standing still.
By Anu's QuillPublished about a year ago • 1 min read

They rise like dawn—
peers ascendant, junior aloft—
and here i stand,
still as a shadow,
wishing i were light.
They hail my mind's flame—
but fire without fuel
is just smoke in the dark.
Sparks flash,
pressure kindles brief flame—
then darkness claims the spark.
About the Creator
Anu's Quill
I’m just an existential wanderer who happened to stumble into poetry. I think about writing more than I actually write—not the best poet, but trying to get better, word by word, as I share my thoughts and voice.
