dreams to dust

i wasn't enough

or maybe too much

after feeling

something

for the first time ever

and thought it was

a happy ever after

kind of thing

turned out to be just

a mirage in the desert

my parched heart

pumping sand

but He reminds me that

He is in charge

and He has great things

in store for me

not of confusion

but of hope and a future

and He already knows

what it is

He knows my heart

better than i do

i'm still vibrant

and very much alive

by His Will

my age is irrelevant

according to Him

i mean, He's the One

who authored

Ruth and Boaz

with intent

He knows what i don't know

and He will never

steer me wrong

it doesn't always look like

we think it should

but if He sets it

in motion

i will receive it.

He made us from dust

so there's that

Amen.
