The Prudhoe Badger And Things You Miss On Trains And Buses
If You Are Moving At Speed They Are Gone Before You Can Capture Them

Introduction
I suppose this is just a piece on photographs that we take when things are moving at speed. Sometimes it is because you are on a bus or train, or because you see something and you have seconds to capture that picture.
The development of mobile phone cameras has made it much easier to capture images, but most of the time we are not quick enough to capture that scene because our reactions are not fast enough.
I had heard of the Prudhoe Badger but never noticed it despite passing through Prudhoe once a month. The photograph I took to head this piece was when I was stopped at Prudhoe yesterday on the way home from Newcastle. If you are stopped you can get a photograph of a stationary object.
Some Things That I Caught
These are just some pictures that I caught on the move, and probably shared on Instagram where I thought it was worth to do that.

A Jet2 plane taking off from Edinburgh airport from a Scotrail train on the way north.

This was the old stone bridge in Hebden Bridge, and loved what the streetlight did, and below is The Iron Giant (I think), the poet Ted Hughes is from the area.

The rail journey from Newcastle to Carlisle follows the route of Hardian's Wall and there are a few Roman artefacts and sights along the way, but I can never remember exactly where they are and often miss when I want to photograph, so all these were taken at speed.

This is a nice sun house by a pond, and I have not yet got the picture that I want.

Coming into Preston is Tulketh Mill, where I started my second job as a computer operator on a Honeywell which ran off punch cards, paper tape and magnetich tape and appeared in the Michael Caine film "The Billion Dollar Brain".

I think this was a seagull captured from Pannett Park in Whitby. I was trying to photograph the distant tower somewhere on the Yorkshire moors and just caught the bird.

A squirrel on a post in Pannett Park, Whitby. There are loads of squirrels in the park but it is fun to get them sitting like this. I have shared a lot of video of them on my Instagram channel.

This was a strange structure over the river from Alnwick Castle and Lilidorei.

It provided inspiration for a story too:
This was a tree in sunlight in Hulne Park, Alnwick and again this provided inspiration to my Vocal writing.

I caught this heron/crane in the river Aln in Alnwick. These sort of things are there and then they are gone.

Conclusion
Thank you for reading. Most of these were taken from a train and are not by any imagination professional.
The music is "Roman Wall Blues" by Alex Harvey with video of the Roman fort, Vindolanda.
