Paul E Zogala is not just a photographer, he’s an explorer at heart. His favorite places are the wilderness of Canada and the back alleys of Amman, Jordan.

He has traveled throughout Africa and beyond in pursuit of photographic opportunities. While some photographers might be intimidated by the thought of traveling to foreign lands and meeting new people, this is far from ever being a problem for Paul.

That being said, he has managed to capture a number of beautiful landscapes through his lens.

In this article we will explore Paul E Zogala’s work and learn about what inspired him to pursue photography as a career.

What inspired Paul E Zogala to pursue photography as a career?

As a child, Paul was always drawn to the idea of traveling. He was fascinated by the idea of experiencing other cultures and learning about new people and their way of life. He also loved the idea of taking photographs and creating memories for others to enjoy. The idea of being a “photographer” seemed like a perfect fit for him and he began to explore the idea of pursuing photography as a career. After high school, he attended university where he focused on studying art history and then later, photography. He eventually came to the realization that he wanted to make a career out of his passion for travel photography and he began to put his plans into action.

How does Paul E Zogala take pictures when traveling?

As you might have guessed by now, Paul E Zogala is a self-taught travel photographer. He has traveled all over the world to capture the beauty of many different landscapes. When traveling, he typically packs a 35mm or a 50mm lens on his camera and a tripod. He often takes inspiration from the local culture, architecture, and people when traveling. He will often ask local people about the best spots for photographs or for directions to a popular location. He also enjoys exploring new areas as he sees them and learning about their history and how other people live there. He will often take photographs of his own surroundings as well so he can later compare them to his photographs from the same locations.

Where is Paul E Zogala's favorite place to take photographs while traveling?

For many years Paul E Zogala traveled throughout Africa and Asia. He would often take one camera with him and use it for both landscapes and cityscapes. As this would get tedious, he eventually decided to invest in a few different cameras. This allowed him to switch between landscapes and cityscapes while traveling. As they were single-lens reflex cameras, he could easily switch between them in airports and other places where he would need to quickly grab a camera. He eventually started to branch out into more locations and came to enjoy traveling through Central America. He would typically start in Mexico City and then travel down to Belize and then on to Costa Rica. In Costa Rica, he often takes pictures of the tropical rainforests and the Southern Pacific beaches.

Paul E Zogala's tips for aspiring travel photographers

Traveling and immersing yourself in new cultures and landscapes can be an incredibly rewarding experience. It can also be extremely challenging, especially for people who are new to independent travel. All of these things can make working towards your photography goals a bit more challenging.

However, Paul E Zogala suggests making some compromises when it comes to travel photography. For example, you can take advantage of free or low-cost photo opportunities. You can also take advantage of free or low-cost locations when traveling to other parts of the world. The end result of all of this is that you can enjoy the same quality of travel photography as those who are perfectly prepared for it.
