My Love for Dog Authority

This is Holly, one of Gina's kids....

My girlfriend’s name is Gina Adeopju and she runs a service called Dog Authority. Before I get into what Dog Authority is, let me tell you a little about Gina and this will help explain the “why” of Dog Authority. Gina is a big-hearted woman from up north, the State of Michigan where restaurants only serve 1 type of tea. Her love language seems to be “constantly”, and she faces life with wide-eyed enthusiasm. Not only does she love people, but she also loves animals. Phrases like “let’s go eat dead animal flesh for dinner” will only provoke a negative response out of her. Gina makes friends everywhere she goes, and she’s never met a dog that she didn’t like. For anyone who needs a Masterclass in forgiveness, they only need to watch Gina in action for about a few hours. God blesses us all with talents and Gina’s talents seems to be love.

So, what does this have to do with Dog Authority, you ask? Well Gina runs Dog Authority. She is the heart and soul of the operation. She is also the sole operative in the operation. She wears several different hats to keep things running and all of these hats have floppy ears just like the dogs she works with. Dog Authority is like a school and counseling session for dogs and their owners. Perhaps you have watched “The Dog Whisperer” and seen the antics of one Cesar Milan as he educates owners about the quirks of their dogs? Well, Gina doesn’t whisper and she’s much cuter. If you watch the intro video on her page, you can tell that she’s just the type of person that dogs and their owners can talk to.

Gina helps owners gain a bigger understanding of their dogs and the reasons their dogs do some of the things they do. Gina also helps dogs through a few problematic situations. Dogs are more sensitive than humans and their bodies are wired differently. Did you know that dogs can hear up to four times better than us? Why does that matter? Because some of the problems dogs deal with involve their traumatic responses to certain sounds. One dog was traumatized by a railroad incident and so every time he hears metal scraping or loud noises; he gets beside himself. Gina is helping this dog through their trauma and the dog loves her for it. Dogs also don’t like abrupt changes and sometimes this causes adverse behavior in them. Bringing a baby into a dog’s domain is a big change for the dog. Another one of Gina’s current cases involves helping a dog and his family get ready for the arrival of a new baby. Dogs can handle anything if you prepare them for it. Dogs are natural explorers. They love looking at the world and they love it when you remind them that they are a part of it.

I have learned so much about dogs by being around the Dog Authority. She truly is what she says she is. All her good qualities come out in how she deals with dogs and owners. This is why I love her. It takes a certain type of person to be loving and accepting of strangers. It involves a great deal of trust. Gina loves what she does, and she loves the people that she works with. Dogs make her smile, and her smile should be categorized as a national treasure because it is truly beautiful. I love Gina and I love Dog Authority. If you ever have a situation where your dog and you don’t see eye to eye or your dog needs some instruction that comes with tender loving care, then you should try out the Dog Authority. You can find her using those exact same words. Ironically enough, I didn’t find the Dog Authority, she found me. And as a former student of the University of Georgia, I guess you could say that I was a “dawg” in need of some instruction that comes with tender, loving care.
