Cats are truly irresistible animals, which always bring a smile to our lips, both with their disarming sweetness and their "arrogance" at various times. But they also have certain behaviors that make their owners shake their heads, no matter how much they love their pet.

One of the habits of cats is to completely ignore the owner's sleep schedule and make sure that he wakes up because he is paying attention to them or feeding them, of course. No matter how cute your cat is when it intentionally bothers you, without the slightest remorse, it is not advisable to let it destroy your sleep.

To find out how to train your cat to let you sleep!

Cat training: say goodbye to noises

How many times have you had the sweetest sleep in the morning and suddenly felt sharp claws on your face? Or, of course, another torture often applied: the sound of systematically scratched furniture, which seems to scratch your brain at the same time.

Cats know exactly how to conquer you, but they are certainly experts at torturing you (we love them, no matter how evil they are). To solve this problem, you need to train your cat, even if it requires a fairly healthy dose of patience.

The first thing you need to do to solve the problem of scratches is quite intuitive: cutting your claws. Take a nail clipper especially for animals or even one for humans and press the cushion next to each claw before cutting.

To make sure you don't have an unpleasant accident, just cut the white part, never more. The pink area contains blood vessels and, of course, will be very painful if you cut it.

So that your cat does not shy away from touching his paw, you have to repeat this gesture quite often, not only when you cut his kennel so that the little cat can associate it with something positive.

The second important aspect of cat training is to understand why they feel the need to scratch. Their behavior is territorial - any cat needs a place to consider its own, otherwise, it becomes very aggressive and anxious.

Usually, the "victims" of cat scratches are the couch and the bed, because these two objects retain the human smell, given how much time we spend using them. Our animals are trying to mark their territory and create a common comfort zone with ours.

If you don't want to scratch your sofa anymore, you can block its access or use double-sided tape - an adhesive that creates an unpleasant sensation when you scratch it.

But at the same time, it is mandatory to complement this ban with a solution: for example, a playset placed right next to the couch, on which the cat should grind its kennels and catch its smell so that the cat feels that it is marked the crucial territory.

Here's another important thing to think about when your cat won't let you sleep: your pet spends most of the day alone if family members are working.

Owners do not think how difficult it is for an animal that is made to explore to simply stay locked in a house all day. When you try to sleep, your cat is simply bored and, through your awakening, achieves several goals:

  • has social interaction, no matter what your answer is;
  • makes something interesting happen;
  • get food.

Because your cat needs intense activity and then she will sleep peacefully and will not bother you, here is a routine to follow in her training:

1. Your cat is a predator, so you have to practice your hunting talent on some toys every day.

2. After the hunting session, let her eat the last portion of food that day.

3. Just as a spa session relaxes you, and your cat will love it if you brush her fur, cut her hair and caress her a little.

After you physically exhaust her with a healthy dose of play, feed her well, and pamper her a little more with caresses and affection, your cat will fall asleep and therefore will not bother you either.

Cat training is a must for the animal's well-being, from which you will also benefit fully. If you want to have a good relationship with your cat, you have to understand that you need to make an effort to give him the conditions he needs, just like you do in the case of humans.
