Dear reader — today I like to confess — years ago I discovered the power of observing oneself. Honestly, being an individual with bipolar disorder — I had to find ways to better understand my actions — so, observing life, my emotions, my thoughts, and my reactions — I eventually found the way to understand my ups and downs. One of the things that helped me, was my consideration of the fact that everything I do is often inside a mental box and a bubble of emotions. Today I will explain how I see this to help you with my formula — if you suffer like me of ups and downs moods, manifested by flashes back of sad emotions of the past.

If we think about it, we live moments of life wrapped up in our mental thoughts, hopes, and expectations — every single day — that’s our bubble in the box. However, I will call it “box”, when I will refer only to the fact that we are prisoners of our thinking. The “bubble” instead, represents the density of emotions flowing as energy waves inside the box.

My mental box

My mental box was a large room with a bubble of emotions inside. Yet, too small for all that I had to say, or express. Too small for the enlarging bubble of emotions in evolution. And because of that, one day it broke. I tried to fix it many times but unfortunately — every time I did — something happened that caused it to rip apart. Today I don’t have a mental box — so I live only inside the flexible, multicolored, happy — always-evolving bubble of emotions.

My multicolored bubble of emotions

This bubble is filled with the pace of the green Chakra (Heart) — harmony. And the fire of life and action of the yellow Chakra (Solar Plexus) — energy.

It’s decorated with the vibration of new creations in the orange Chakra (Sacral) — while resonating clearly through the deep insight of the blue Chakra (Throat) — Expressions.

Yet, the bubble is kept alive and active by the indigo Chakra, or the opening of the spiritual channel of inner visualization (Third Eye).

All this is sustained by the red power coming from the base Chakra (Root) — confidence, security, stability.

How you can help yourself

Today, I will reveal the secret of my spiritual and emotional success. Be ready to understand now what I exactly mean by “Box” and “Bubble”.

Every time you find yourself right before an emotional crisis of any kind, only two things can happen: you lose your mind fast, or you control yourself fast — from acting in the wrong way. Remember that according to the way you chose to react — you will not have much time to think before finding yourself absorbed completely by negative or disturbing emotions. However, now you will know what to do because I’m about to tell you.

Just take a deep breath even if it seems difficult at the beginning, and immediately step back mentally — 1-2-3, or even 10 steps from the mental box that was confining you in your emotional distress.

Continue to think, visualize, or imagine that you are literally stepping out and away from the discomfort you feel within — see the box right in front of you and away from you — imagine its color and density. Slowly but surely, you will perceive it as something that doesn’t belong to you, something outside of you that you can begin to observe by looking from a distance. The pain is not you! But it’s only what you are now observing from a distance.

As soon as you come to this perception and realization, you will experience freedom from the usual mental box and will view the moment of stress — or pain — as something to take care of in healthy ways from a distance and when appropriate. You will notice that your sadness or frustration, is not necessarily manifesting because of what is happening to you in the present — but because what is happening is triggering strong, old emotions of the past left unsolved.

Try to breathe and relax. If you can take a walk outside in nature it would be the best. As time goes by, you will be able to review sad moments of your past with more understanding and a sense of compassion. Then you will feel ready to break the walls of your mental box forever and allow the beautiful multicolored bubble of your true self, to emerge and enlarge in joy and harmony, letting you fill you with blissful inspirations — always ready to create and manifest new ideas.
