“Think like a queen. A queen is not afraid to fail. Failure is another steppingstone to greatness.” Oprah Winfrey

Imagine how the world would look like if we have thousands of female bosses and businesses giving back, investing, donating, and creating products that support women, families and the world?

In 2018, statistics showed only 1.7 percent of women-owned businesses made more than a million dollars in revenue.

Women have been relegated to the background especially women of color.

We are faced with lots of marginalization. Other challenges ranging from self-pity, doubting our greatness, lacking confidence, not understanding our true value and worth, afraid to take steps and enhance our economic power.

There is a widening wealth gap. For instance, White women make 79 cents compared to a dollar made by a white man, and Black woman made 62 cents.

“There is not force more powerful than a woman determined to rise.” “A Strong woman knows she has strength enough for the journey, but a woman of strength knows it is in the journey where she will become strong.”

Women are yet to realize their full economic potential in the world today.

Do you realize that…

• Women pay more for their debt than men.

• They are likely to venture into any form of investment.

• 80 percent of women are likely to retire poor.

• When it comes to raising money for business, women raise less than their counterpart.

• Only 2 percent of women-owned business ever hit the seven figure mark.

The data could go on and on.

It is high time we did something about this, by rewriting our history. We have to begin to demand for what we desire, make our decision, think of how to contribute to our communities.

For us to really accomplish much more, we need more money. Having money is a form of power -economic power. When one doesn’t have the economic power, your impact becomes limited.

Having more money as a woman will offer you several advantages;

• It boosts your confidence: Money is a confidence booster, making you to want to build wealth and earn more. But the opposite becomes the scenario when you don’t have money.

• It guarantees power of autonomy. Imagine yourself as a millionaire; you will realize how much power you have when it comes to making decision that will improve the quality of lives for others and the society at large.

• Being a millionaire makes you independent and enhance your ability to make powerful decision.

But when you don’t have money, you could experience a lot like getting a job that sucks, remaining in an abusive relationship and living at the mercy of others.

Call for Reflection:

I want you to think of the contributions you will make as a woman, if you’re a Millionaire?
