Who Are We To Judge?

Why are we such a judgmental generation? Some people are on a high horse believing that no one can knock them down. No one sits that high except the Lord.

When you judge somebody, take a look in the mirror. What do you see? Things you want to change, right? So, why would you talk about someone for their imperfections? Take a mental inventory, not just physical. If you don’t like to be called names, don’t do it to other people.

When I say calling names, I don’t mean names like overweight or ugly. I mean sinner, hypocrite, liar, etc. No one has the right to call any of those names. Know why? It’s not your place to call those names because we are all sinners saved by grace. The lying part and hypocrite part is on that person themselves.

Some people are very hypocritical. Pastors included. It’s possible to be under the wrong leadership. People don’t know that though. Just because somebody is in a pulpit preaching every Sunday does not make them right. People hold pastors to higher standards, so they need to live what they are preaching. A pastor can be living wrong and appear to be a man of the cloth as they say. But nobody ever brings that to light though.

Some people are hypocritical in general. They have never done anything wrong and have been saved all their lives. These are the very people that sit up and talk about people to make themselves look good. Everybody is going to hell except for them. They are going to be the first ones in line for the Lord on judgment day. And they are forever quoting scriptures. These people need their own church and no, I will not be a member.

I’m going to go at a different angle with this one. Now, we judge people for buying scratch offs in a store, but we don’t judge people for losing all their money in Las Vegas? Hear me out. Gambling is gambling, regardless. Either way, you are 1. Gonna lose your money or 2. Win money. If you ever look at the back of a scratch off, it tells you if you have a gambling addiction to call a certain number. People have this big misconception that going to Las Vegas means you will get rich but its sad that people go there with that in mind and come back broke. If you were broke before you left, why take a chance and go there, just to end up in the same situation, if not worse? Its possible to win, but losing is a bigger possibility. I don’t know about you, but money is hard to come by so I wont take that big of a risk.

None of us have the right to condemn someone to hell. You cannot tell someone that they are going to hell because of their sexual preferences, not going to church or any other reason. You didn’t write the Bible. You only live what it says. Leave the preaching up to the pastor, if they are living by the word, that is. We are supposed to lead people to Christ, not away from him. Condemning someone to hell will push them further away from wanting to be saved or come to church. People know that they may be living a sinful life. They don’t need you to broadcast it or remind them of it every time you see them.

To end my story I say this, life is a journey, not the criminal justice system and we are not the judge.
