What do we understand whenever we hear the word "Motivation"

Motivation is said to be the process that initiates, guides, and maintains goal-oriented behaviors. Motivation can also be defined as an internal process. It is the condition inside us that desires a change.

Either in the self or the environment. When we tap into this well of energy, motivation endows the person with the drive and direction needed to engage with the environment in an adaptive, open-ended, and problem-solving sort of way.

Motivation is influenced by the satisfaction of needs that are either necessary for sustaining life or essential for wellbeing and growth.

Our environment and social context will play a significant role in terms of extrinsic motivation. We will also be motivated by goals, values, and desires to experience specific emotions associated with certain end-states.

The essence of motivation is energized and persistent goal-directed behavior. When we are motivated, we move and take action.

Oftentimes i've seen and known people who live by the motivation of others, either in person or in writing. I also wonder what would happen if a motivator needs motivation.

Of course, I know you might reply and say they can be motivated by other people or theirs, but the truth remains this, motivation is inbuilt.

We must all thrive to train and build up our inner being to function even in the absence of external motivations. Now the question is how is or can we build up our inner self?

There are numerous ways one can build up the inner self so as to be able to function in the absence of motivations.

One of these ways is through the constant absorption of intellectual materials, such as books, tapes, videos, and many more. Inbuilt motivation can also be achieved by constantly surrounding yourself with valuable individuals, remember energy is transferred through different mediums. The strength of your circle will determine how long you'll stand in the absence of one. Valuable friends and connections play a huge role in the build-up of our inner self, our inner motivations.

It is not just enough to read and be fed with a series of motivations what matters is what happens when you the motivator need the motivation to do something. Your strong built self will come into action to supply the adequate strength and the motivation you need for that thing at that particular point in time.

Our character also has a huge role to play in our build-up. Your character most times dictates how far you will go. With a top-notch character built over the years, it will speak in the time of need, it comes out from its closet to display and aid how you handle things or people in the absence of motivation. Personal development skills are also needed in the build-up of our inner self so we can be able to motivate ourselves whenever the need for motivation arises. Not all days will be bright and sunny, surely it is a must we have cloudy days, days when and where we feel tired of it all and we think of letting somethings go just because we have got no adequate strength to do them as at that point in time.

If you are reading this, you should also learn and thrive to build up your inner self. Never run of motivations as a motivator. You can only give what you have and you can only spend what you have saved. So, if this topic is asked as a question "What do you do when the motivator needs motivation" then my reply will be "Open up your inner reserve and let it fuel your course."

Never run out of motivation.
