What's Happening on December 21st?

Like many of you, I was terrified about whether or not the world would end on December 21, 2021. There was so much talk and fear-mongering to the point where there was even a movie made about the Doomsday prophecy.

Lately, there has been more talk and rumblings about the possibility that the world will end on December 21, 2021.

Should you be worried?

Let’s dive into it.

The Prophecy

The prophecy comes from the ancient Mayans. The ancient Mayans were known to be very skilled and advanced when it comes to astronomy and math. One of the developments they are most known for is the Mayan Calendar.

In an article titled The End of the World,(on eniscuola.net) it states that “The Mayans feared the end of the [calendar] cycle since it was believed that the Sun would have stopped shining in the sky.”

The end of the calendar cycle was believed to be December 21, 2012. Hence, the belief that the world would end on December 21, 2012, was born.

The Resurgence

Lately, there’s been a resurgence of this theory. There is a group of people that believe that the actual prophecy date was 2021, rather than 2012. Apparently, there was some mix-up and the end date was transposed.

This theory has been gaining traction in some spiritual community subsets. And some fear that this coming December 21st will be the end of humanity.

The Possibility

I suppose anything is possible. Any of us could walk outside and get hit by a bus at any given moment I guess. But I honestly don’t think any of us have anything to worry about.

I think we can all safely put this doomsday theory to bed and be at peace with it.

I believe the new 2021 theory is just another way for doomsday theorists to continue to cause anxiety, unrest, doubt, dissension, and fear-mongering in otherwise peaceful spiritual communities.

The Prayer

My hope and prayer is that all will be well for each and every one of us from now until beyond.

I pray that the future will be peaceful and welcoming and full of great things and happy surprises.

The ReVision

What people neglected to mention about the initial 2021 prophecy is that there was another part.

While there was talk of the world coming to an end, there was another piece to the puzzle.

The earlier mentioned article also states that “According to the Mayans, at the end of [… ]the so-called Great Cycle, that is after 5,125 years, the world would come to an end and a new one would begin, starting a new cycle.

So you see, the actual prophecy stated that the world as we know it would come to an end…

But a new world would begin.

And this “new world” concept coincides with the shift into the Age of Aquarius and the shift from 3D consciousness to 5D consciousness.

This is a shift from a logic-based, self-centered, selfish, consumerist society to one of a more spirit-based, humanity-centered, loving, minimalist society.

So it’s true…it is indeed the end of the world. But as the old world ends, a new and better world emerges.
