Leadership is the art of getting someone else to do something you want done because he wants to do it. - General Dwight Eisenhower

One of the best leaders I met was at the workplace. He came in to replace the manager that was there prior.

The previous manager did not do such a good job. Six different managers met the same fate from being let go due to complaints.

This new person would eventually turn the workplace around from his great leadership ability from a young age.

Despite being young, he excelled at not only doing his job but giving orders without demanding anything.

You wore almost compelled to do so. It was baffling.

He had excellent charisma and talent despite his age.

It taught me the difference between a boss and a leader and the qualities a leader should have when around.

This is a small list of what a great leader should look like.

1:They Innovate and Improve Themselves

Tima Miroshnichenko From PexalsWorking on themselves rather than calling it a day is what sets them apart from others. A great leader improves on himself for the purpose to give back to his workplace.

They see their flaws and take criticism well

They constantly seek to improve on things such as self-awareness and emotional intelligence.

Work to learn how to speak to each individual and inspire him to strive for better.

Gives orders without demanding.

Taking responsibility when something goes wrong is another thing they strive for. Many other bosses put blame on their employees or the team and cannot take responsibility for their actions.

Innovating oneself is one of the best things a leader can do for their team.

2:They Help Improve their Teams

If your actions inspire others to dream more, learn more, do more, and become more, you are a leader. - John Quincy Adams

One of the best things I have seen is when someone encourages a fellow peer or coworker to strive for better.

A leader does every part to make sure that the next person is heard and understood. He sympathizes with his team and places an effort to understand each of them.

Most charismatic leaders help create a community to achieve the workplace environment goals with ease.

It creates a very attractive environment where the workplace wants to strive to improve as well.

In the end, a leader should be more concerned about serving his team rather than getting credit for their results.

3. They Have High Moral And Ethics

A leader is best when people barely know he exists, when his work is done, his aim fulfilled, they will say: we did it ourselves. - Lao Tzu

Many leaders will have a strong moral compass. It will not compel them to take more credit than they already get. They do not seek validation or praise but concern for the well-being of their team.

They will focus to ensure that their team is content and satisfied with what they achieve as a team.

Certain Bosses or leaders will take their authority for granted and start creating a hostile environment in their workplace. It makes it difficult for an employee to endure the most tasks.

A Leader should be authentic and transparent. It should be easy to speak with them without the fear of retaliation.

They should be able to create an environment full of integrity and morals for their employees or team.

It is what separates a great leader from a bad one.

A leader shows why it's important to perform as a team and lead in front by example. It is what inspires us to follow certain individuals and guides us to the workplace goal.
