Staying at home is hard. Probably because we haven't practised it. And it's not healthy for us. And we loved our old lives. Ah not to worry. Let's look beyond that and enjoy the time we have now. What it hasn't stopped is our creativity, which we'll always have, and we CAN still communicate a vast amount of it online. One particular video that made me laugh and stop scrolling to work out its ingenuity because it's brilliant. It's a skiing video with a man in a full skiing outfit, and he journeys his way down a mountain.

Now that you've watched it and hopefully saw the surprise which you were expecting in some form or another. This is fantastic because Philipp Klein is doing something that he may have been doing, a trip he may have booked. Or he just had his kit at home, and he was reminiscing, or he was plain old bored and had a crazy idea. What's beautiful in this video is while we haven't ever practised social distancing before and it's a new concept to society, this man ''practised something that he has a passion for. Mr Klein was imaginative and came up with the goal of creating a video that encompassed a skiing venture. In the moment, and watching it back it's glorious. I'm sure when he thought about it, it sounded quite stupid out loud. I guess when you're home alone, you can do what you want and no one else hears those thoughts and tells you don't do it. The video went viral and took him to covers of the news and Philipp has a new video explaining how he found this experience, and he even got a GoPro award for this. I'm going to let the whole invention of this video speak for itself and congratulate him.

This whole upset to our routine is for our good. And we should work with our new environment, no matter the circumstances. I'm a student from the UK studying in Canada. I was unable to return home due to the risk and a few other reasons, and I'm still in Canada. I had to take my final engineering exams at my friend's house. If you've seen it on the internet, working anywhere is not easy, especially if the environment is noisy in a busier house. Zoom calls for online school are not always smooooth. But you make do. Throw away the excuses and get out of bed, it won't miss you that much. No matter how tired you are, or cycle you're stuck in. The world misses you, so be present for it. We can still do good things. An organization that I have followed for a few years that encompasses this is called Parley, and they've raised awareness about plastic pollution in our oceans. They are tackling it by engaging with local communities and building their own community.

By working together, Parley for the Oceans has been able to take plastic out of our oceans. Beyond just removing it, Parley works with Adidas and makes tennis clothing and shoes out of the waste plastic. This is only the beginning, and they are working with researchers to further reduce the plastic mountains in the seas and to create new, more environmentally friendly materials. This is so important that someone called Sam Bencheghib ran coast to coast across the United States. 3055 miles. In about 6 months, back to back as much as he could. All for the singular goal of raising awareness of how plastic is damaging our environment. Ocean to Ocean.

3055 miles.

Sam ran for Parley. I've attached Parley's cause or mission:

THE CAUSE

“We need to defend diversity on land and in the sea and we need solutions, and these solutions can only be realized by harnessing the imaginative side of human culture – the arts.”

Through creative means, Parley hopes to revitalize the planet's oceans, our oceans by working as a team, all together. Parley works across countries, governments, continents, across all societies, for a common goal, much larger than any one of us. For all of us. Similar to the situation we are in now, the world has a common goal and we work together when we have to and progress accelerates with a group focus. The world must unite and allow us to live harmoniously, side-by-side with the planet we live on. When we come together we are stronger, when we are apart we are weaker being divided. This social distancing age may only be starting, but Parley has been working to fix our ocean for a long time. Parley's Instagram page showcases the incredible collaborations and groundbreaking change and progress, international unitedness and research to making the oceans healthier. We need to clean the air right now, but yesterday the waters needed to be looked after.

Sam has been able to be a symbol for people across American and the world to connect to Parley and its cause through Sam. Through his efforts and struggles. Yet for Sam things will only get better. He was able to win the challenge set by Ryan Serhant because of his story and his prize is to live in New York for free for a year. Paid for by Ryan Serhant and his team. I know this is only the beginning for Sam. I hope people follow where he went and where he is to go. And he did with a beaming smile on his face.

In a different type of smile, one not full of grand pride after running from East to West of America, but a comedic one instead. This video is from the Upworthy Instagram account. And it made my day in the middle of my final exam season. When stress was high and I needed a break from the structure and details of my studies. I'm using this video to provide an explanation for why the social media account is so good and not singling out this video, even though I do LOVE this man's charm.

The content on the page is straightforward, relatable content. Silly, funny, realistic and wonderful things that anyone could do. Anyone of us. And it is brought together and is able to reach so many people.

It is also strong and powerful content. I'm sure the news above has reached you via other means. Still, Upworthy is full of honest content attracting real human interactions and human relationships. These are heartwarming and show that we live on a planet where there are so many people willing to the right thing. But check out the clip below, where those women looking after Ken went so far above and beyond, in their creativity.

This video makes me tear up as I watch it. You can see his genuine smile on his face as he's happy from the bottom of his heart. And then he remembers his life her, and all the memories come flooding back, tears too. While some people say they are recording for the views, please look past this and accept is for a good human deed. And you have been fortunate enough to witness it too, even if you didn't really need to. It's got a mixture of positivity and laughs for all ages. Go ahead, take a look and be influenced in the right way from it. Let's be creative and move forward together on our new path.
