Let's get started, so what is Notion?

Great question! The notion is a productivity app, what sets it apart from other tools is its complexity and flexibility and can be used as your database and a way to track your projects, manage daily tasks, keep notes, and much more.

The one drawback I found when first using Notion was its complexity and almost limitless ways of setting it up. I wanted to be more productive, not spending the next few months of my life getting everything set up.

Thankfully there are plenty of pre-made templates available that you can put onto your account, make a few amends to have it exactly how you want it, all in the process, saving you time and allowing you to focus more on getting the work done. Procrastination 0–1 Notion.

Ultimate Tasks and Projects Template by Thomas Frank

Thomas Frank, a Youtuber focused on productivity advice, has created what I would argue is one of the best templates you can add to your notion to help keep track of your tasks and manage any projects you have. A template that is worthy of the title ultimate.

I have been using Thomases template every day, over the last 3 months, alongside several other templates on Notion, this has been crucial to helping me stay on track with all of my daily tasks, as well as helping to map out everything I want to do. I can safely say it has massively helped to improve my productivity.

What I love about his template is how easy it is to use. The problem that can happen with a lot of productivity tools is that they can become so complex and time sinking that they end up becoming their own worst enemy and make you less productive.

Having Notion already set up, with great templates I only need to spend about 10 minutes before I start my day job, quickly plan out everything I need to do for the day, and make note of any larger tasks or projects coming up. Allowing me to focus my free time in the evening on writing.

Not just for writers

Although I would say Notion can be a fantastic companion for any writer, looking to keep track of everything you are working on, and as a way to digitally store notes, helping to stay on track. It is also a fantastic tool for anyone looking for an alternative way to help stay more productive, whether for your personal development or within your professional career.
