The Truth will Set You Free, but First it Will Pizzazz You Off

"Some people will only like you if you fit in their box."

Approval and admiration is more sought over than the "truth."

The truth hurts at times because think about it, often times being wrong or questioning our outlook on life feels unnatural. For some, it feels like death.

Most people do not want any part in anything that questions their reality or the social norms they are accustomed to. Stay in your corner and play your part, do as I do and be as predictable as possible type deal. Think of the matrix.

Denial and/or justification on matters in which should not be justified is the usual defense mechanism in order to not endure the pain of looking in the dreaded mirror. However, the first phase is anger. How dare you stand up against me? How dare you question what I have worked so hard to deny? Stay in your lane and fit in my box. Otherwise, stay the hell away from me type deal. How can these people learn anything if they are not open to learning from themselves?

Have you ever noticed that people will get more angry when you remain calm and sane? Why is that?

They want you to justify their anger by you reacting (unhealthy) instead of responding (healthy) so they have a bigger and better reason to become MORE angry and for you to prove them right, most times…

Life is not always rainbows and cupcakes, better yet, cupcakes with SPRINKLES! 🤣

People will push your buttons. People will question your reality, but if you let that tear you down you will not/do not have inner peace. Peace is not based off of the thoughts or actions of others. It comes from within. The world can be crashing from the inside out but because you know who you are, you know you will be just fine. These are characteristics of a strong minded person.

Is this you?

Characteristics of a Strong Person:

  1. You don’t put up with excuses.
  2. You are careful about who you will let into your life.
  3. You will walk away with ease when someone doesn’t have the same intentions for you as you do them.
  4. You HATE small talk. You have too many ideas and genuine thoughts than to be gossiping.
  5. You HATE idiocy or ignorance.
  6. You know how to listen.
  7. You DON’T need attention.
  8. You are courageous. Courageous differs from brave because having courage doesn’t mean you aren’t afraid. You might very well be afraid, but it won’t stop you.
  9. You are secure with who you are. No one and nothing can shake your love for yourself.
  10. People often mistake your boldness for rudeness. Forget them. You live in truth and you see through the clouds. You don’t put up with anyone’s unnecessary bullshevick.

If this is you, do not change for anyone. The world needs more people like you. Now, you just need to find and collaborate with more people like you. forget their box. Bust out and glow. Glow so bright you blind 'em.

Welcome to the dark side. Welcome to the side most prefer not to talk about.

Live in your truth, but most of all, be true to YOURSELF...

November Inspiration

During the colder months people tend to feel more depressed and irritable (SAD, Seasonal Affective Disorder). I would say it is probably due to the fact some people go out less, especially if they are not accustomed to cold weather. Personally, I prefer the summer…

Happiness is usually determined by circumstances, but it doesn’t have to be. I have been in awful, awful circumstances but have maintained my peace of mind. Does this mean I am never upset? Of course not, but I have enough control over my thinking to make sure I have more happy days than sad or mad ones.

Tips for Maintaining Peace in Chaos:

  • Self talk is key because it is all you have when your circumstances are not good.
  • When everything is pushing you to REACT in an unhealthy way, steer clear and remain calm. Respond don’t react. “This too shall pass.”
  • Prioritize your thoughts. Is this thought or this “reaction” going to benefit me in the long run. “Ten seconds of rage can cause ten years of pain.”

Learn from yourself or keep making the same mistake over.
