The poor Farmer

A story of poor farmer who lost money but not hope

By Abdul RehmanPublished 4 years ago • 3 min read

Once upon a time, in a small village nestled in the heart of the countryside, there lived a poor farmer named Kishan. Kishan was a hardworking man who lived a simple life, tending to his small patch of land every day in the hopes of providing for his family.

Kishan's land was small and barren, with little room for crops to grow. Despite his best efforts, Kishan's harvest was always meager, barely enough to feed his family for the year. Kishan's wife, Sita, would often have to sell her homemade crafts in the village market to supplement their income.

Despite their hardships, Kishan and Sita were content with their simple life. They had each other, their two children, and a roof over their heads. They didn't need much else.

One day, Kishan was approached by a wealthy landowner, named Ravi, who lived in the neighboring village. Ravi had heard of Kishan's struggles and offered to lend him some money to buy better seeds and tools for his farm.

Kishan was hesitant at first, knowing that he would have to pay back the loan with interest. However, Ravi convinced him that the investment would pay off in the long run, allowing Kishan to increase his yield and earn more money.

Excited at the prospect of improving his farm, Kishan took out the loan and bought the best seeds and tools he could afford. He worked tirelessly every day, planting and tending to his crops with care.

However, things did not go as planned. Despite Kishan's efforts, his crop yield did not increase significantly. Moreover, Kishan now had a large debt to repay to Ravi, which he could not do with his meager income.

To make matters worse, a drought hit the village that year, destroying most of the crops and leaving many farmers, including Kishan, struggling to make ends meet. With no harvest to sell, Kishan could not repay his loan and fell into further debt.

As the years passed, Kishan's situation only worsened. His debts piled up, and he was forced to sell his land to pay them off. With nowhere else to go, Kishan and his family moved to the outskirts of the village, where they lived in a small, rundown hut.

Kishan continued to work as a laborer, earning a meager wage that barely covered their daily expenses. Sita took up odd jobs in the village, often returning home late at night, exhausted from her work.

Despite their struggles, Kishan and Sita remained hopeful that things would get better. They raised their children with love and taught them the value of hard work and perseverance.

Years passed, and Kishan's children grew up to be responsible and hardworking individuals. They took up jobs in the city and sent money back home to support their parents.

One day, Kishan received news that Ravi, the landowner who had lent him the money, had passed away. Kishan went to attend his funeral and found out that Ravi had left him a large sum of money in his will, enough to pay off all his debts and live a comfortable life.

Kishan was stunned. He had never expected such a turn of events. With tears in his eyes, he thanked Ravi for his generosity and returned home, a changed man.

Kishan used the money to buy back his land and invest in better tools and seeds. He worked harder than ever before, and this time, his crops flourished. His farm became the talk of the village, and many farmers came to seek his advice Moral=Although we lost money but we have never to lost our hope
