The Komplete Package is a Blessing!
This year has been tough on us all but have we ever stopped to consider the impact it has on those without permanent housing? Well this holiday season, Aisha Shawntay, your Love, Light, and Hope girl is bringing just that to the homeless population in the Houston area. She is hosting The Komplete Package Initiative where she and other volunteers are putting together Blessing Bags for those who doesn’t have permanent housing. The Blessing Bags created by Business and Credit Consultant Aisha Shawntay will provide the basic essentials such as personal hygiene items (toothpastes, feminine products), underwear, ,snacks, and more. It’s a great to give back in such perilous times and remind those individuals that they aren’t forgotten and are truly loved.

With a focus on health - mentally, physically, spiritually, and financially, Aisha Shawntay understands the anxiety that comes along with not having enough and to be completely without. Because of this she decided to start The Komplete Package Initiative, to share some hope with the homeless population this holiday time. While many of us will be with family and maybe even friends for Thanksgiving and Christmas, it is important to remember that some individuals do not have that luxury. To be able to leave a Blessing Bag for 100 individuals in the Houston area can uplift weary spirits, shed some light, show love, and give hope. The Komplete Package Initiative isn’t for one person to solely head but an opportunity for all to come together for a greater cause. Aisha Shawntay is pleased to partner with Melinda Perez who is hosting a fundraiser for sex trafficking survivors. She is raising funds for housing for children who are being rescued from sex trafficking. For every donation to the fundraiser shop, an article of clothing is placed in the Blessing Bags. What inspired you to become an entrepreneur?
Aisha Shawntay:
I believe it was naturally going to happen for a few reasons. My mother has worked for herself as a cosmetologist since I was 12. I have always had a side hustle or multiple jobs. It wasn’t always a need, but more of a drive to do so. With that being said, Freedom and Legacy!

Why is it important for entrepreneurs to give back during the holiday season?
Aisha Shawntay:
We all have been so blessed by our clients, friends and family. It’s greater to give than receive right? Holiday time is a great time to share love. We should give back as often as possible.
Tammy Reese:
Please tell me about the Komplete Package Initiative.
Aisha Shawntay:
This initiative is designed to create blessing bags for Men and Women in our communities that do not have permanent housing. Our goal is to collect items of personal need such as undergarments, socks, toothpaste, toothbrush, backpacks, purses, feminine hygiene products, masks, sanitizer, snacks, and more. We know that everything helps.

What other projects are you currently working on?
Aisha Shawntay:
I am launching a 9 week intensive for one-on-one coaching with group support. This program is geared for those that may need different types of support in overcoming certain mindsets due to the pandemic or life’s concerns. Also for individuals that have started a business but want to go to the next level by creating a strong foundation in personal and business credit.

What do you want your legacy to look like?
Aisha Shawntay:
My legacy should look like this:
Prayerful, Joyous, Perseverance, Wisdom, and Kingdom Vision .

What advice would you have for aspiring entrepreneurs?
Aisha Shawntay:
Never let the whispers of the naysayers or even your own doubt stop you from pursuing what God has given you to birth.
