Today I am 30 years old and I would say that I have led a good "Adult Life" for the last 7 years. As a result, I own a business worth over a million dollars, have achieved complete financial independence, live on the beach, have a great girlfriend, am in great physical shape, and overall live a happy and wonderful life.

The Changes Of Life
Today has been a very Emotional Day. In general, I tend to be very even-keel and jovial. One of the reasons I tend to get along well with people is because I know how to make people smile and remind them what it is to be human.

Tiny Wins, Big Wins
Forget overnight revolutions and monumental leaps. The truth is, lasting achievements often blossom from the humble seeds of incremental progress. This isn't a call for mediocrity, but a potent philosophy: success thrives on tiny triumphs, consistently cultivated.

The Shadow in My Bedroom Window
The night was heavy with darkness as a storm brewed in the distance. Raindrops tapped insistently against the window, creating a rhythmic symphony that matched the unease in my heart. I lay in bed, my eyes darting nervously around the room, searching for something unseen.

Now, Not Later
Hidden. That’s how I’ve been for a long time. I joined Vocal a year ago as a first step in emerging from the shadows - shadows of tragedy, shadows of doubt, and standing back in other people’s shadows saying to myself not now but later. This year I’ve flipped that to now, not later. I can no longer wait to get my writing out into the world. Now is the time to reach out, to connect, to find a community.

Bloom Where You're Planted, But Branch Out for the Sun: Embracing Continuous Personal Growth
The image of a vibrant flower thriving amidst adversity, pushing upwards even through cracks in the pavement, speaks volumes about the human spirit's potential for personal growth. We, like resilient flora, can blossom into our best selves, even in challenging environments. Yet, simply surviving isn't enough. Just as a flower wouldn't be content staying nestled in the shade, we shouldn't limit ourselves to merely "getting by." Personal growth isn't just about persevering; it's about actively stretching towards the sunlight of our full potential.

My Vocal Goals ~ 2024
2023 was my first year on Vocal, and I truly believe that my skills as a fiction writer have significantly improved thanks to the challenges I have entered. I honestly feel that every major story I have written for Vocal has been better than the last. Plus, to my complete surprise, I have immensely enjoyed the poetry challenges.

Vocal Writing Aspirations
My writing aspirations on Vocal for this year is to increase my usage of the platform, not just completing the challenges but also reading and commenting on other creators’ stories. This past year I have not completed many challenges, or I have done a draft but not submitted the story within the time allowed for that challenge, time management is something I need to work on this year. It can be difficult to manage my own time as I work as a home carer and do shift work and can be working all day and I also have my little girl to look after as well.
