I Was Broken—Until I Found My Strength
There was a time in my life when everything felt shattered. I was broken—emotionally, mentally, and spiritually. Each day felt like a battle I was destined to lose. But looking back now, I realize that being broken was the beginning of becoming whole. It was the painful but necessary journey that led me to discover my inner strength.

Story of Two Classmates – Muzammil and Murtaza
It was in a small town nestled amidst fields and hills that two boys, Muzammil and Murtaza, began their journey together. They met in class 6, when they both enrolled in the same school. Their first meeting was nothing special—a simple exchange of greetings in a shared classroom. However, over time, that ordinary beginning blossomed into a deep and meaningful friendship. Both boys came from middle-class families, lived in the same neighborhood, and shared similar values. As days turned into months, and months into years, they started spending more and more time together, helping each other with homework, playing cricket after school, and even sharing lunch. Their classmates often remarked how inseparable they had become. From the 6th grade, they moved up together, year after year, never breaking their rhythm. By class 8, their bond was unshakable. They had developed a habit of studying together and often sat beside each other in class. But their companionship went far beyond academics. They talked about everything—books, dreams, politics, and the condition of their country. Their conversations were filled with youthful passion and hope. Murtaza was especially vocal about justice, leadership, and the flaws in the system. He admired great leaders and often said, “We need to fix this country, Muzammil. We need to take seats that matter.” Muzammil, although quieter, always listened with admiration and sometimes challenged Murtaza with insightful questions. Their friendship was a mixture of motivation and mutual respect. In class 8, their goals started to shape. Murtaza was clear—he wanted to become a civil servant. Muzammil, on the other hand, was still exploring, but he was influenced by Murtaza’s clarity and commitment. They often spoke of sitting in powerful chairs to change the country for the better. But as they entered class 9, things started to change. The academic pressure increased, and for the first time, Muzammil began to struggle. Murtaza was performing well, consistently among the top students, while Muzammil found it hard to keep pace. Despite studying together, their academic paths started to diverge. Murtaza tried to support Muzammil, encouraging him and even helping him revise key topics. However, despite the support, Muzammil couldn’t match Murtaza’s performance. By the time the results of class 9 were announced, it was clear—Muzammil had fallen behind. This shift created a slight tension. Muzammil, though still fond of Murtaza, began to feel inferior. He avoided group study sessions and stopped joining Murtaza in his usual discussions about national issues and ambitions. Murtaza noticed the change but chose not to confront it directly, hoping things would settle on their own. In class 10, the gap widened. Murtaza secured a top position in school, earning praise from teachers and peers alike. Muzammil passed, but with average grades. People started seeing Murtaza as a future leader, while Muzammil quietly faded into the background. Yet, something changed in Muzammil after that year. He started spending more time alone, reflecting on his failures and thinking deeply about what he wanted from life. Slowly, a fire ignited in him. He decided to stop comparing himself to others and focus on improving himself. In the next academic year, Muzammil came back with renewed energy. He changed his study strategy, sought guidance from teachers, and started believing in his abilities again. Murtaza noticed this positive shift and resumed studying with him. Their bond, once shaken, began to strengthen again. By the end of class 11, Muzammil surprised everyone—including himself—by securing a high position in school. Though he didn’t surpass Murtaza, he had found his own pace and path. More importantly, he had regained his confidence and his friendship with Murtaza was stronger than ever. Their ambitions, though different in detail, remained aligned in spirit. Murtaza continued to prepare for civil services, while Muzammil leaned toward becoming a doctor, realizing that serving people’s health was also a way of serving the nation. Today, years later, both boys are pursuing their dreams—Murtaza studying law and preparing for the CSS exams, and Muzammil in medical college. They still talk regularly, often reminiscing about their school days, their ups and downs, and the dreams that bound them together. Their journey reminds us that friendship isn't about being at the same pace, but about supporting each other through every step—whether ahead or behind.

Mind and Meaning: A Journey Through Study and Self
There was a time when Arman believed that learning was a duty—something to be done for grades, degrees, and expectations. Raised in a small town with limited resources, his relationship with knowledge was purely transactional. He studied to pass, to please his parents, and to someday secure a respectable job. But beyond the surface, something deeper stirred within him—an unspoken curiosity that refused to die, even in the noise of routine and responsibility.

Rock Bottom Was a Basement I Built My Empire In
How Losing Everything Gave Me the Blueprint to Build Something Greater I never planned to end up in a basement with no job, no savings, and a heart full of regret. But life doesn’t ask for permission before it crashes down on you. It just does. And when it did, I was left with nothing but four concrete walls, a secondhand mattress, and silence so loud it echoed.

Leaving God Behind
In the silence of the night, the call to prayer echoed through the city. But the young man was lost in the noise of his own restless prayers. His name was Ali—educated, talented, and full of dreams. He wanted to achieve something great, to attain everything life had to offer. But the biggest obstacle in his path... was himself. Ali wanted everything from the world—wealth, fame, love, peace. He was always asking for something: "O Allah, grant me a job." "O Allah, bring my beloved back." "O Allah, let everyone admire me." But the one thing he never asked for was… God Himself. Time passed. He kept giving interviews, kept falling in and out of love, kept praying, but nothing changed. Disappointment began to leave permanent lines on his face. He turned to medicines, visited spiritual healers, sat in front of fortune-tellers selling dreams of paradise—but nowhere did he find peace. One day, when all roads seemed blocked, he wandered to an old shrine on the outskirts of the city. An elderly dervish sat under a tree, reciting quietly. Frustrated, Ali asked, “Baba! I’ve asked for everything, tried everything, but I’ve gained nothing. My dreams are shattered. I’m exhausted. What am I doing wrong?” The dervish looked up and smiled gently. “Son, you asked for everything, but you left behind the One you should’ve asked for.” Ali was confused. “What do you mean? I’ve prayed all the time.” The dervish recited a verse: ‘I sought remedies everywhere, Yet left behind the prayer. I couldn’t walk this worldly path, Without shedding guilt or despair. Surprised I am at my own desires, O Iqbal, I asked for all things from God— Except God Himself.’ These words hit Ali like lightning. He realized he had never truly asked for God. He had only asked for what God could give. He hadn’t loved the Creator—only chased His creations. That night, for the first time, Ali returned home and bowed in prayer without asking for anything. “O Allah! Whatever You’ve already given me, I am grateful. I ask for nothing now—just make me Yours.” And that single act of surrender became the most precious moment of his life. Gradually, things began to change. He got a small job—nothing flashy, not in a big company, but he accepted it with a thankful heart. He began to speak less, smile more, and help others quietly. He gave blessings freely, without expecting anything in return. Months later, he received a call from an organization he'd forgotten he applied to. There, he was offered a role where not only was he respected, but his talents and values were also recognized. Love returned, too—but in a different form. He no longer craved someone’s attention; he had fallen in love with life itself. It no longer mattered where he was or who he was—because he knew God was with him. His prayers took a new form: “O Allah! Fill my heart with Your light.” “O Allah! Help me be content with what pleases You.” “O Allah! Just stay with me.” Ali no longer wandered in search of medicine, nor did he chase temporary peace. He had embraced prayer, and prayer had led him to God. One day, he wrote in his old journal the same poem that had awakened his soul: I sought remedies everywhere, Yet left behind the prayer. I couldn’t walk this worldly path, Without shedding guilt or despair. Surprised I am at my own desires, O Iqbal, I asked for all things from God— Except God Himself. Ali had finally understood: True peace is found when God becomes the purpose, not just the provider.

Echoes of the Morning Commute
The city woke up with a yawn, stretching its concrete limbs as the first rays of sunlight slipped through the gaps between towering buildings. For Maya, however, the morning was a familiar rhythm—a symphony of hurried footsteps, the hiss of bus brakes, and the distant hum of traffic. She adjusted the strap of her worn leather bag, her gray coat catching the golden light as she stepped onto the sidewalk, joining the stream of commuters flowing toward the subway station.
