Motivation in the modern age of social media; keep your social media feed positive by following inspirational influencers.
We didn't stop, we're just taking a different path.
Staying at home is hard. Probably because we haven't practised it. And it's not healthy for us. And we loved our old lives. Ah not to worry. Let's look beyond that and enjoy the time we have now. What it hasn't stopped is our creativity, which we'll always have, and we CAN still communicate a vast amount of it online. One particular video that made me laugh and stop scrolling to work out its ingenuity because it's brilliant. It's a skiing video with a man in a full skiing outfit, and he journeys his way down a mountain.

Inner Feelings
A month ago today I was on Instagram trying to find some inspiration. I was stressing more than usually because I was getting ready to have my second stats exam and my first exam for psychology of prejudice. These tests in particular had been feeling anxious and worried cause i thought I would forget everything that I learned , I didn’t want that to happen so I went on Instagram to find some positivity, something I would remember for at least the rest of the day. So I decided to find a specific person page that would bring me peace and not have me worry about anything. I needed any kind of inspiration to lift up my sprits and to keep motivated. I wanted some positive vibes so I put the word INSPIRATION in the search box. There was lots of pages that had all kinds of motivational quotes, astrology facts and personality traits, which I loved, I can read quotes and reflect on them all day. I ended up finding this page that a lot people knew about but me, one of my favorite celebrities Jhéne Aiko follows the page , it’s called @eternal_knowledge. This page had brought me joy because it taught me a lot, things even my own family hasn’t told me. I was never told about positive thinking, positive thinking wasn’t common to be, u was mostly always down until I saw this “ Is your glass half-empty or half-full? ”How you answer this age-old question about positive thinking may reflect your outlook on life, your attitude toward yourself, and whether you're optimistic or pessimistic and it may even affect your health. Indeed, some studies show that personality traits such as optimism and pessimism can affect many areas of your health and well-being. The positive thinking that usually comes with optimism is a key part of effective stress management. And effective stress management is associated with many health benefits. If you tend to be pessimistic, don't despair you can learn positive thinking skills. Positive vibes are Positive thinking doesn't mean that you keep your head in the sand and ignore life's less pleasant situations. Positive thinking just means that you approach unpleasantness in a more positive and productive way. You think the best is going to happen, not the worst. Positive thinking often starts with self-talk. Self-talk is the endless stream of unspoken thoughts that run through your head. These automatic thoughts can be positive or negative. Some of your self-talk comes from logic and reason. Other self-talk may arise from misconceptions that you create because of lack of information. If the thoughts that run through your head are mostly negative, your outlook on life is more likely pessimistic. If your thoughts are mostly positive, you're likely an optimist — someone who practices positive thinking. This eternal.knowledge page gave me happiness and had me focus on getting ready for these two exams. This page gave me a change to do what i do best when I’m in school which is study. The motivation for instant gratification, and the idea that bigger and better can achieve happiness, influence what people share on social media sites. This in fact is true. I would like to thank ther eternal knowledge page for giving me the courage to not give up and work in study for each class without panicking or getting upset or have negative thoughts. If this page can help me it can help you too. Without this page I wouldn’t had past both exam with 85 and above. I really am not a fan of social media but when I found this page I tell I fell in love with it. It brings me happiness and joy and I can share that joy with other people. This quote really hits home “ We are in the beginning of stages in the biggest collective awakening ever seen in the history of mankind.”

You Told Me To Stop Posting On Social Media
DISCLAIMER: As you begin to feel like you’re entering into another cliché post thanking the “haters” for motivation, I ask you to focus more on my response, rather than the people I may never make happy. If hate is the sole reason why we’re driven, then we will miss out on the ones who are sharing love. Invite love into your heart, and you will realize happiness can inspire you more than darkness.

Virtual Love for the Socially Distanced Soul
What a time to be alive! Am I right??? History is happening right before our very eyes. We are witnessing a pandemic and it's riveting. Covid-19, or more commonly known around the younger folk as ‘The Rona’, has done something to the digital era that has never happened before. We are in a time that even with all of our technological and scientific advancements, no one expected to be living through. All of us have these natural and unique-to-humankind tendencies to socialize, gather, move, travel, dance, be outdoors - these things help us feel alive. But staying in house has put restrictions on these things we do that bring us joy so naturally.

What the World Needs Now is Love..
Martin Luther King Jr. once said “Darkness cannot drive out darkness: only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate: only love can do that.” Especially in times like now with the global pandemic, police brutality and civilian hate crimes based on race, sex, sexual orientation and identification. It is a dark and scary time especially when media can be twisted to give viewers the wrong messages, but I have found that - there are online creators and artists that make multitudes of media that help brighten our days with motivating messages that spread love when the world needs it the most and here are a few examples.

Artists Inspiring Artists During a Global Pandemic
In the midst of a global pandemic that has the majority of the world stuck at home and isolated from their friends and loved ones, it’s been hard to find simple joys that make me laugh, smile, or keep me entertained. As a performing artist, it’s been exciting to watch the artistic community explode with optimism and perseverance. Every day countless artists offer free or by-donation classes and concerts and share their work on social media to keep themselves and others in shape, entertained, and creatively stimulated. Some of my favorite pieces or artists I’ve come across, or gotten to know better, are featured below, and I hope that they expose you to something or someone and bring some joy and entertainment to your home during a chaotic time.

While being under the weather, and not having much motivation for creation in any fashion, It was pretty tough to get the gumption to move my fever face from my bed to my desktop. (SOOO I am going to be keeping this bad boy short and sweet because I feel like I'm dying over here.)
