Motivation in the modern age of social media; keep your social media feed positive by following inspirational influencers.
What the World Needs Now is Love..
Martin Luther King Jr. once said “Darkness cannot drive out darkness: only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate: only love can do that.” Especially in times like now with the global pandemic, police brutality and civilian hate crimes based on race, sex, sexual orientation and identification. It is a dark and scary time especially when media can be twisted to give viewers the wrong messages, but I have found that - there are online creators and artists that make multitudes of media that help brighten our days with motivating messages that spread love when the world needs it the most and here are a few examples.
Maelisha KahlbaumPublished 4 years ago in MotivationArtists Inspiring Artists During a Global Pandemic
In the midst of a global pandemic that has the majority of the world stuck at home and isolated from their friends and loved ones, it’s been hard to find simple joys that make me laugh, smile, or keep me entertained. As a performing artist, it’s been exciting to watch the artistic community explode with optimism and perseverance. Every day countless artists offer free or by-donation classes and concerts and share their work on social media to keep themselves and others in shape, entertained, and creatively stimulated. Some of my favorite pieces or artists I’ve come across, or gotten to know better, are featured below, and I hope that they expose you to something or someone and bring some joy and entertainment to your home during a chaotic time.

While being under the weather, and not having much motivation for creation in any fashion, It was pretty tough to get the gumption to move my fever face from my bed to my desktop. (SOOO I am going to be keeping this bad boy short and sweet because I feel like I'm dying over here.)

To begin with, I deem it appropriate to address the issue that we all are facing as a global community; the well-known pandemic COVID -19. The disease has affected over 550k people worldwide and has claimed 27k lives. Just the figures should ring the bells if you have yet not taken this seriously. Today, it is more important than ever to be cautious and take the utmost care to stay safe.

I'm a big believer in controlling my online experience. Social media is only what you make of it, right? And with the, frankly, terrifying world we live in at the moment, this feels more vital to our wellbeing every day.

Dear Friends, There is no denying the emotional and overwhelming toll felt by so many. Now, more than ever, it is so important to do our part to share as much positivity as we can and create a collective shift. A shift from sadness to happiness, from despair to hope, from stress to calm, and ultimately creating positive vibrations through negative times.

I think when we hear the word love the first thing that comes to mind is the romantic , intimate ; type of love. The smell of roses , the sound of ocean waves, feeling the sun on our skin, watching a heart warming movie, spending time with a loved one or feeling empowered by someone you love and admire are all types of love that we oftentimes forget to consider and are often left underapperciated.

Facebook has turned into somewhat of a blog for me. I share a lot of things - including posts about budgeting, being childless by choice, and my plans for continuing my education and my career. These are all things I am extremely proud of. I'm proud of the decisions my husband and I have made thus far; we stick to a budget, and with both of us working, there is plenty of money left over every month for fun things. We enjoy our childless life and celebrate the fact that right now it is just us two, and our precious black kitty, Stormy.
Alex C.Published 4 years ago in MotivationWhat kind of society do we live in?
We used to live in a society where people belived in one another. We used to live in a society where comparing one another wasn't a thing. We used to live in a society where everyone was accepted. We used to live in a society where hapiness existed.
