How to Be More Optimistic
For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction. In life, balance is one of our universal truths. We see balance in everything: up/ down, in/ out, black/ white, birth/death, inhale/exhale, cause/ effect, the list just keeps going. No matter how an equation is spilled out—the answers are equal on both sides of the equal sign. Balance: how the world keeps spinning. People say “Karma’s a bitch” but at the end of the day, that’s just things coming around full circle. I can bet that you’ve had struggles in your life, some people more than others. I can also bet that you’ve had some fun and joyful times as well. Here’s the bottom line: the energy in this universe is balanced. Positive/ negative. Did you know that smiling releases dopamine? Action/reaction. If I speak into a cave, you know what’s echoing back? Those same damn words. If I’m playing golf and I think “Do not hit it in the water on the the right,” my mind won’t register the “NOT” and I am definitely going to be dropping a ball. My mind thought it into existence. Let’s talk about a few ways that will help you be more optimistic and in turn give you daily happiness and progression in your life.

Jane WykerPublished 6 years ago in MotivationWhen You Don’t Know Where to Start
Very few times in our lives do we truly believe we are stuck somewhere in the middle. Of course, that is the phrase we choose to apply to our feeling of digression, but I argue that we’re never just in one place—we are either moving forwards, or backwards.
Hannah TaylorPublished 6 years ago in MotivationThe Perfections in Our Differences
Has anyone ever told you “nobody’s perfect”? I’m here to tell you that they’re as right as they want to be. Whatever it is that makes you different is the very thing that will make you stand out and shine over everyone around you. It’s like when someone sees something so interesting and so different to the point where they like it. Perfection is just imperfections embraced to a higher level of self-acceptance. Whether you have a quirky look to you, an oddball personality, or even an unpopular way of living. I highly encourage you to embrace that very thing that makes you different. I know it may seem like a difficult or potentially painful task. But putting your insecurities on the table will reveal the truth. The truth of your insecurities will bring the truth out of the people around you. If you do this you’ll know who really has your back. You’ll know who your real friends are and who your real family is. Some of you might lose it all. Going from hundreds or thousands of friends to maybe one, two, or maybe even zero friends. Just keep in mind these are good people and you are not alone on this rock. Even when you’re feeling the least amount of support or guidance that you’ve ever felt in your entire life. You’re still not alone. Over every challenge is a better life. Use your insecurities to see the truth in your life. Use what makes you different to stand out. Pursue what makes you happy. What makes you happy is your passion. Your passion is your ticket to your dream life. Follow it, no matter what anyone else says. They don’t see what you see. They don’t feel what you feel. This is your life, not theirs. If you want a happy life, then don’t just dream about it. Write it down, then look up the steps to get there. Anything is possible in this world. So pave the path you’ve always wanted to walk. Your dream is reachable and waiting for you to claim the throne to. Go out and make it happen. You have one life and the only person that’s actually holding you back is yourself. You have a beautiful dream and it’s achievable.
Chris BuffamantePublished 6 years ago in Motivation5 Simple, yet Important, Steps to Overcome Laziness on Your Day Off
I’m one of many people who suffer from “being too lazy” syndrome. You know you have it if you want to get lots of things done on your upcoming day off but never seem to make it to them or consistently push them off till tomorrow. But we all know that when tomorrow comes—we go through the same routine and therefore all the things we wanted to do get pushed on to the next day, again.

Believe me, I am one of those people. But there are things that you can do every day to "fake" confidence and slowly build it for real.

Sabina sheikhPublished 6 years ago in MotivationBullet Journaling 101, but from a Beginner
I've always admired people who have beautiful handwriting, are super artsy, seem have their lives together, and usually they bullet journal. Go figure. If you don't know what a bujo is (bullet journal for short), it's basically a planner/super artsy book that people use for literally whatever they want. It can be filled with beautiful pages with inspirational quotes surrounded by artwork, or a monthly layout that included a planner, calendar, mood trackers and habit trackers, etc. Anyone who has a bujo will tell you that it can be whatever you want/need it to be, it's your journal, so be yourself when writing in it.
