Kurd is the name of a tribe, in the name of a person was a famous bandit. He narrates his story. That I was going to Dhaka with a group of my colleagues. On the way we were sitting in one place. There we saw that there were three (3) palm trees. Two are bearing fruit and one is completely dry. And a bird comes again and again and goes to this dry tree with fresh dates in its beak. We were surprised to see this. I saw this bird being taken ten times. So I got the idea to climb on it and see what this bird does to this date. I went to the top of this tree and saw that there was a blind snake lying with its mouth open, and this bird puts that fresh date in its mouth. I saw that I was so learned that I started crying I said, "My Lord! This is the snake that Your Prophet ordered to be killed. When it became blind, You appointed a sparrow to provide for it. And I, Your servant, who confesses Your Oneness, You have appointed me to rob people. On saying this, it was put into my heart that My door is open for repentance." At that moment, I broke my sword, which was used to rob people, and throwing dust on my head, I began to say, "Iqaalahu Iqaalahu" (passing by, passing by). I heard a voice from the unseen saying, "We have forgiven, we have forgiven." I came to my companions. They said, what happened to you? I said that I was a prisoner. Now I have made peace. Having said this, I told them the whole story. They said that we also make peace. Having said this, everyone broke their swords, and leaving all the loot, we put on Ihram and set off for Mecca. After three days, when we reached a village, we met a blind old woman. She asked us by name whether there was a Kurd among you by that name. The people said that there was. She took out some clothes and said that my son died three days ago. He left these clothes. For three days, I have been seeing the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) in my dream every day. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "Give his clothes to so and so Kurd." The Kurd said that he took those clothes and we all wore them. (Roz) In this story, both things are instructive. The provision of sustenance from Allah Almighty for their snake, and the gift of clothes from the Holy Prophet (ﷺ). When Allah Almighty wants to help a person, how difficult is it to create means for Him? He creates all the means of wealth and poverty, and the honor of clothes from the Holy Prophet (ﷺ) with the blessing of true repentance is itself a thing to be proud of. And there is an example of wealth being achieved through a hasty death. And many cases of wills at the time of death are often heard, saying, "Give this much of my belongings to such and such a person.” In a hadith, Hazrat Ibn Abbas narrates that the Prophet (ﷺ) said that whoever is hungry or in need and hides his need from people, Allah Almighty has the right (out of His grace and mercy) to provide him with a year's sustenance from lawful wealth. (Mishkat) In another hadith, it is stated that whoever is hungry or in need and hides it from people and asks Allah Almighty, Allah Almighty opens the door of lawful sustenance for him for a year. (Kanz) In another hadith, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: Whoever asks Allah, Allah will grant him wealth. And whoever asks Allah for chastity, Allah will grant him chastity. And the upper hand (i.e. the one who gives) is better than the lower hand (i.e. the one who asks). And there is no one who opens the door of asking, but Allah, the Exalted, opens the door of poverty for him.
