A quaint village, there resided a young lad named Maszid. Maszid was notorious for his indolence and lack of ambition. He had a tendency to fritter away his time and procrastinate on important tasks, disregarding the constant advice from his loved ones to value time. However, one sunny day, a wise elder by the name of Mr. Jonathan arrived in the village. Mr. Jonathan was renowned for his sagacity and knack for resolving people's predicaments. News of his arrival swiftly spread, and soon Maszid caught wind of it. Intrigued, he decided to seek the guidance of the venerable old man. Maszid approached Mr. Jonathan, who was seated beneath a majestic banyan tree. With a respectful bow, he inquired, "Sir, I have been informed of your immense wisdom. Could you please enlighten me on how to make the most of my life?" A gentle smile graced Mr. Jonathan's face as he comprehended the young man's struggle. He retrieved an hourglass from his satchel and handed it to Maszid. "This hourglass symbolises time," he explained. "Each grain of sand represents a precious moment of your life." Maszid cradled the hourglass in his hands, feeling the weight of its significance.

When I heard, ‘It’s time for 2024’. Personally, it can be frightening. Always frightening, every year. It‘s a new chapter and ready for the new adventure(again). I am nervous and exhausted. The goals can be still overwhelming and confusing at the same time every year and even after Christmas. I get that all the time. Some people I know who felt that way too. Every new year, I usually cleaned up, declutterred, and reorganized the closets, organizer draws, and even shelves when the new year day has started. Top to bottom. It’s always like refreshing a new start.

Should I do it? I’m going to do it. Today is the day! On second thought, it is $50. It’s not nothing. I really need that money. Tax season is coming up, I’ve got to pay my accountant, and it’s going to take money to get payroll restarted before I can see anything in my personal bank account.

I was so excited when I first opened a Vocal account. I now had a place to share my writings, a place to be seen, to be heard, and to meet others who enjoyed the things I enjoyed. It was a new beginning for me with what I’ve always been passionate about. I was now going to put my purpose to work; and I would now, finally, be worth something!
Marysol RamosPublished 5 months ago in MotivationHow Being A Creator Has Been A Game Changer For Me!
As I’ve stated before, I was born to be a creator. Making art, writing, taking and editing photographs, cooking, baking, and cake decorating have always tickled my fancy, since I was young. There are all forms of creativity; I’m more passionate about visual, literary, and culinary arts than performing and musical arts. You can read my previous story I Was Born To Create to find out more information about my creative history and journey.
