Balance is a myth
“I’m at this point in life where I don’t want to be mediocre anymore,” my friend whispered — partly drunk, partly self-aware, slurping a cocktail I impulsively concocted in a coffee mug (a bit of genius and jugaad) using leftover vodka and a half-empty bottle of Mazza, a mango beverage forgotten in the fridge. We were sitting on a mattress in my living room, surrounded by the cluttered remains of another overcooked weekday: half-read books, open laptops on low battery and Zepto paper bags that had definitely outlived the groceries it once delivered. But, in that moment of desperate inspiration and existential dread, the drink was surprisingly exquisite. Sweet, sharp and stupidly profound. Maybe the steel bombilla straw or the IKEA coffee mug had something to do with it. Maybe it was just one of those accidental alignments — like a holiday falling just before a weekend, or catching the smell of someone making Maggi in hostel.

Title: The Stone Cutters Journey to Self-Realization.
He spent his day cutting stone from the rocky slopes, then carried the heavy pieces down to the market to sell. His earnings were small, just enough to survive, but his heart was full of patience and gratitude. He never missed a prayer and always believed that whatever Allah had destined for him was best. One sweltering summer day, Saleh sat down under the shade of a rock to rest. He wiped the sweat from his brow and took a sip of water from his clay jug. His body ached, his clothes were torn and dusty, and his hands were calloused. He looked up at the scorching sun and sighed deeply. A thought crossed his mind: "I work so hard every day, yet I have no power, no status. People walk past me without even noticing. If only I were a king! Then I wouldn't have to suffer like this!" As soon as the thought entered his heart, a mysterious voice echoed from the sky: "You are now a king!" Suddenly, Saleh found himself sitting on a majestic throne inside a grand golden palace. Soft cushions surrounded him, silken robes covered his body, and a magnificent crown rested on his head. Servants stood in line to serve him, and soldiers bowed before him. Saleh was amazed and overwhelmed. “This is the life!” he thought. “Finally, I have power. Now everyone must obey me.” Days passed, and he enjoyed the luxuries of kingship. But soon, he began to feel the same heat again. The blazing sun made him uncomfortable. Even inside the palace, the heat was unbearable. Frustrated, he looked up at the sky and said, "Even as a king, I can't escape the sun. The sun must be more powerful than any king. I wish I were the sun!"Once again, the mysterious voice said: "You are now the sun." Now, Saleh became the sun. He floated high above the earth, beaming down his rays. He burned the lands, dried up the rivers, and caused people to sweat and seek shade. “Now I am truly powerful,” he thought. But one day, thick clouds appeared and blocked his light. No matter how brightly he shone, the clouds covered him completely. The people below no longer felt his presence. "These clouds are stronger than me!" He realized. "If I were the clouds, I could control even the sun!" The voice came again: "You are now the clouds." Now he has become a massive dark cloud. He roamed the sky, pouring rain, flooding fields, and soaking the lands below. People ran for shelter, and farmers prayed for mercy. He felt powerful once again. Until one day, he came upon a tall mountain. No matter how hard he rained or how loud he thundered, the mountain stood firm. It didn’t move an inch. The cloud collided with it again and again, but the mountain remained unshaken. "This mountain is stronger than me! I wish I were a mountain." The voice returned: "You are now a mountain." Saleh became a great mountain—mighty, majestic, and immovable. People built homes at his base, animals made nests in his trees, and rain had no effect on him. “Now,” he thought, “I am finally the strongest in the world.” But one day, he felt something strange. A constant tapping, a light vibration beneath him. He looked down and saw a small figure chipping away at his rocky side. It changed into a stone cutter—with a hammer and chisel—slicing away on the mountain slowly but surely. Saleh changed into shocked. "Even as a mountain, I am being modified through this tiny man! This stone cutter should be more effective than me. I wish I had been a stone cutter again! " And for the very last time, the voice echoed: "You are actually a stone cutter." Saleh opened his eyes. He changed into yet again status at the mountain, hammer in hand, sweat dripping down his face. But this time, tears additionally rolled down his cheeks. He had traveled through the kinds of kings, the sun, the clouds, and the mountains—searching for power, only to find out that the actual electricity lay in accepting who he changed into and the motive Allah had selected for him. He fell to the floor in prostration and said: "Oh Allah, forgive me. You recognize what's great for me. I now recognize that my place, my role, and my struggle—all are ideal in Your divine know-how." From that day forward, Saleh in no way complained. He labored with renewed joy, pleasure in his labor, and regular gratitude in his heart. When humans requested how he remained so content material together along with his hard existence, he might smile and say: "The selection of Allah is constantly great. He is aware of what we do now no longer." Moral of the Story: Be content material with the existence Allah has given you; it's miles complete of know-how and motive. Power and greatness do now no longer convey peace—gratitude and humility do. In chasing what others have, we regularly overlook the splendor of what we already hold. True electricity comes from patience, accept as true in Allah, and accept His decree.

The Weight of Quiet Things
Nina wasn't the kind of girl you’d notice in a crowd. She walked softly, like her feet were afraid of disturbing the earth. Her hair always fell in front of her face, a curtain she rarely brushed away. At school, she sat near the window, scribbling in the corners of her notebooks, eyes drifting between clouds and corners. She smiled when spoken to but rarely spoke first. It wasn’t shyness. Not exactly.
