Suspended In Time

Time has stopped to show us something, so listen.

Offline yesterday, no wifi, just sitting here thinking about life today.

"Wishing everyone a year of beautiful memories, as time stops for a moment and we all reflect or dream of the norm to return."

I feel like we are all on a train, suspended between two tracks, and stuck on the same journey together. The carriage is for sure overloaded, and the dependency we have on each other as a group effort is naturally going to make us vulnerable in now society.

We find ourselves challenged. Challenge sparks ambition in people just as much as it inflicts fear. We find ourselves asking questions as mankind, questions we never imagined asking ourselves, or certainly not yet.

Then I remember carefully when I was only a teenage kid, about 14 years old, still young, and merely curious. My friends and I used to discuss - that according to vast technology changes in the world and overconsumption, the world is bound to be highly impacted within 10-20 years. Yes, of course as kids we used the terms nuclear war or the world ending, but what do you know – 10 years later guys and yet it feels like no time has passed.

Isn’t it interesting how time has somewhat stopped, for a large population of us in the world? Here we find ourselves confused about our will to simply be. Be who and be what? without the wild goose chase, we call life.

I felt as I was getting older, that saying - “time flies by” became so much more real to me, as it does and we are most common to in now generation. Then with no WARNING at all, within less than 2 weeks, this feeling of stillness is enforced internationally because of this virus we call COVID19 and we all feel together in this sudden confusion, a sense of stillness to reflect deeper than ever before.

Pointing out the fact that technology's sole purpose was to assist us in doing things faster and effectively, therefore allow us to use our time more frequently. In the world we live today, do we value our time or are we just continuously chasing a clock? It’s as if we are running towards a ticking time bomb!

How do you choose to live your life, do you feel free? Perhaps do you feel freer now?

I’m not saying this isn’t a scary time for us all, for some far worse than others for sure, but what we take from this challenging and surreal time is valuable. It is changing our lives by the second and the return will be a completely new phase of life before we know it.

As a person with an autoimmune illness, the value of time is presented at some or many points in your life, when your body chooses to fight you no matter how hard you push back, regardless of the severities or your symptoms, it just surprises you during the most inconvenient of times.

This year 2020 we are challenged by ourselves more than ever in our lifetime, on lockdown in our homes with no distractions from the outside world…

1. WE WILL reflect on things better without the wild goose chase we call life.

2. WE WILL enjoy moments with nature and outdoors.

3. WE WILL value the time we have with our loved ones more than ever.

4. WE WILL see time as an opportunity rather than dreading it and wishing it away.

5. WE WILL learn the very little value money has on our lives when the attack is on our central nervous system.

Everything you are feeling right now is what we immunosuppressed patients fear every day.

Welcome to the value of life.
