The Loan

Coming from the judge's room, I was steadily increasing. And where Ara's anxiety was also increasing. Not only Davar's but also his wife's voice was quite clear. Thinking about the thoughts of the local people, he was surrounded by shame inside.

His daughter-in-law had asked Davar to go to his mother's house early. The referee was in a hurry so he ignored the talk and left for the office. Rida not only made a noise after she left but also called her mother. And wept and told them everything. Jahan Ara kept explaining to him.

In the evening, when Davar came home tired, Rida and his mother were sitting for him. Both mother and daughter read it well as they entered the room. The exhausted Dawar listened quietly for some time, but he also got angry. Now he also came to their competition. The women of the neighboring houses climbed onto the roofs and started watching the spectacle. Jahan Ara walked in through the open door with a beating heart.

"Oh God! It's not even a month since your marriage and my daughter has to endure so much." Where Gulzar Begum became more intense as soon as she saw the opinions.

"That's what I'm telling you aunty! Let us also know what your little girl endured in our house in this one month." The umpire tried to keep his tone as polite as possible. Otherwise, how angry he was could be clearly seen from his eyes and red face.

"When you can disrespect me so much while standing, how will you behave with my daughter. I am a child who cannot understand." Gulzar Begum said while shaking her hands. Rida joined her. She cried more. Accelerated.

"Judge you get out!" Jahan Ara considered the affit in this and explain them all separately.

"Yes, yes. Take it. This is your lesson. Daughter-in-law's happiness is not seen by you. Hey, why do mothers like you rely on sons if they cannot bear his happiness." On Gulzar's words, Jahan Ara was left open-mouthed. There Davar started biting his lip.

"What are you saying Gulzar Begum! Me too." He wanted to clean up, so he raised his hand and shook it.

"That's it. Do these plays only in front of your son. I am not going to participate in these performances."

"Aunty please!" The umpire's tolerance was answered.

Jahan Ara immediately grabbed his arm and brought him under control.

"That's it. I have decided. Ridda! You pack all your belongings. Now you will step into Yes house only when you value this house." On Gulzar Begum's words, Dawar went out with an angry look at Rada. And then, even though Ara stopped Lakh, both of them did not stop.

She came to the cot lying in the veranda and sat holding her head. Leaving the drawing room, Dawar glanced at his mother and headed towards the outer door.

"Mom, close the door, I will come till evening".

"You don't understand the delicacy of the matter." Aman said in a tired tone, then she who was passing near the door stopped with a thump.

"You do not understand the delicacy of the matter, Begum! Since Ara is my child, I can do anything for her, it is not heavy on me." Baba said bluntly.

"I believe she is very dear to you. You can do anything for her but you can't ruin her house, can you?" When Baba was shocked at Amma's words, Ara's heart also trembled when she hit the door.

"It's only been a few days since her wedding and instead of seeing her in your house, you're thinking of keeping her." Amma kept talking. "Daughters are not a burden to anyone, but it is also a fact that daughters look good in their own homes.

I believe that her mother-in-law should not have been so strict, but some fault is also ours. Jehan Ara's father, if you had let me teach her to be a homemaker, she would not have faced these problems today. The original house is their in-laws after marriage. Petty fights happen everywhere. A mother who has been raising her in her stomach for nine months sometimes even raises her hand in anger, so why should she be so angry at the little warmth of her mother-in-law! And I know Azar is a very good boy and his family is also very good. Don't make the slightest grudge your heart's content. I will talk to Jahan Ara and I will also talk to her mother-in-law and see if everything will be fine. Just now Azar's call came, Jahan will come to pick up Ara in the evening. As you wish."

Amma finished speaking and became silent. Not knowing what Baba was thinking, she quietly moved away from the door.

"What did mom and dad think?"

Ama Azhar was busy preparing the orbits for Azhar's sake when suddenly Jahan Ara called her from behind. They turned and took one look at his worried face and started cooking the kebabs again.

"It's not important, son, what Baba decided. What matters is what you decided." He kept the plate of kebabs in the freezer and started washing his hands in the sink. Jahan Ara leaned against the shelf and watched them. She washed her hands and came to him.

"You remember Jahan Ara! Whenever I used to scold you about the housework, you always used Baba as a shield. If he had explained to you at that time or let me explain, you would not have seen this problem today. But you know what is the biggest mistake you have made. You have made an issue of a small thing and the sooner the issue is created, the longer it takes to solve it. I would have sat at home peacefully today, but to be honest, your father also has a role in making such a small matter an issue. You should not share everything with them like before, son! Now think for yourself first with a cool mind and if you can't find a solution to any problem then share it with me. But it is not right to quarrel over a small matter or to force parents to interfere, son!"

He held her face in the cup of his hands and said in a loving tone, she cried. It was really a big mistake.

And then there was that last mistake. On that day when she went back with Azar after convincing Baba, she never again took the matter of her home out of the house. Whatever the situation, she would handle it with love and courage. Taking a piece of advice from his mother, his life became easier and his home became a cradle of happiness.

But today, after so many years, the same little mistake had caught up with him. And the unfortunate thing was that her mother, like Jahan Ara's mother, was amplifying the small talk instead of explaining it to her.

She knew very well that when daughters leave their parents' house and go to another house, it is a new beginning of life for them. And just like in childhood they need endless care. They have to be explained step by step. Similarly, after marriage, they need a best friend and guide to understand and deal with their responsibilities. But the kind of attitude that Rida's mother had shown in their house clearly showed that she could have escalated the matter to Rida's help, far away.

He loved his home very much and his son more than his home, so he also loved his daughter-in-law. She could not see her son's house destroyed just because of a small matter. Neither the son-in-law's trouble was being tolerated by him. He no longer had any expectations from Gulzar Begum. On the contrary, they tried to make the matter serious. For as angry as he was, it was not far off that he would have gone worse.

"I will have to speak to Radha myself. Ammi had explained to me that after marriage, the in-laws of girls are their real home. Their real shelter' and in-laws are their mother and father."

I will end the difference between in-laws and Mackay. I will explain everything to Rada that my mother explained to me. And let this mistake prove to be his last mistake too. May Allah bless my Dawar and Rada forever."

He walked towards the kitchen thinking.

"And then I have to pay off my mother's debt. What could be a better opportunity than this?" Satisfied in their hearts, they decided to cook dinner, once again hoping for a happy home.
