Let Go Of What Is Hurting Your Heart And Soul

"One of the most courageous decisions you’ll ever make is to finally let go of what is hurting your heart and soul." - Brigitte Nicole

Like me, there are many people worldwide who reflect on their past with great fondness, courtesy of all the wonderful memories that were made from such good times. Such was the joy and happiness that our past offered us, we really wish we could time travel, just to go back and experience all the good times again, perhaps making the odd subtle change here and there. I'd love to go back and relive the days from the mid 1980's through until 2000, they were the good old days. There are also those who reflect on their past with an immense amount of hatred, disappointment, and disgust though. So bad were some of the experiences and circumstances they encountered, in which they faced an horrific amount of pain, suffering, and hurt, it has really destroyed them emotionally and mentally. They have perhaps lost complete trust in people, they have perhaps lost the capacity to love others, they have perhaps lost the will to find positivity in their life, or anything of similar sorts. Whether we have lived a wonderful or tragic past, the good news for both groups of individuals is that we all have a future ahead of us, and we are in complete control of shaping it the way in which we desire. I miss the past greatly, and I do wish I could bring my loved ones back from the grave, such as my Dad, my Mum, my grandparents, my cousin, and my aunties, and I wish I could relive those days, but I know that's not possible. Because those times were so enjoyable and memorable, it's easy to create the belief that the best times are indeed behind us, but how do we know that the best is actually still yet to come? It's exactly the same thought pattern as with the group of individuals who had a tragic past, as they easily adopt the belief that because life has always been so horrible and demoralizing to this point, that it will continue to be the same in the future. Again, how do they know that some amazing times aren't just around the corner for them? One thing is for sure, whatever we allow our minds to believe, we will more than likely manifest those beliefs into reality. If we believe life will continue to be crap for us, it probably will. If we believe that our best years are behind us, they probably are. What if we started believing that our greatest success, memories, happiest times, and triumphs are still ahead of us instead? If we changed our thought pattern, and truly believed these blessings can eventuate, it's funny how quickly our mood can improve from a simple thought and belief change!

Why can't the future be wonderful for us? Why can't it bring us great success and happiness? There is no reason it can't! It was interesting speaking with someone yesterday, who is dear to my heart, and hearing of all the hardships, the sufferings, the adversities, the pain, the struggles, the disappointments, the failures, and the tragedies of their past. It really made all the struggles and adversities I have faced in my life look quite feeble. They have had to overcome so much intense pain and suffering, that even led them to attempt suicide on a couple of occasions, and yet they have had the courage to continually push through these barriers to still be around to tell their story today. Despite all what they were telling me about their hardships and pain, I couldn't stop focusing on all the talent and potential they possess, and the wonderful opportunities that lie ahead of them in the future. They have a passion for the work they do, and that is clearly evident in their finished work. They have such a wonderful gift. Not only that though, I encouraged them to use the tragedies and struggles of their past to help others around the world, who are going through the exact same issues themselves, as we speak, and who are desperate for some support, compassion, and encouragement, which she has long wanted to do, but has been unsure just how to. Her story is indeed a superpower, and she can actually use what may have been such a horrible journey for her, but turn it into a story of inspiration and hope for others. As it is, she is committing so much of her time to voluntarily helping an elderly citizen, who is battling his own struggles with mobility. She's a classic role model in the fact that no matter how many times she has been hurt by others in the past, that she still has the courtesy, kindness, generosity, and character to be helping others. She hasn't allowed the horrible side of humanity destroy her, and instead has set the example to others that we are all here to help and support one another. Her problem is that she is struggling to let go of all that has happened to her in the past. Naturally, it has made her feel bitter and angry, but she has worked hard to remove these feelings and emotions, and trade them in for positive emotions and actions, such as generosity and kindness. That's not an easy thing to do when you have had such a tragic life!

For herself, and perhaps you yourself, who has faced many a time of tragedy, adversity, challenge, failure, hardship, rejection, suffering, pain, and hurt, it's time to let go of what is hurting your heart and soul, because unless you do, your future will also become impacted. I talked yesterday of the importance of forgiveness, and having the strength and courage to let go of the bitterness, resentment, and anger that has built up inside us, off the back of someone having transgressed against us. Well, healing is a part of forgiveness. Our heart and soul have been scarred, but they haven't been completely destroyed. We have proven we have had the strength and courage to overcome all the hardships, challenges, and adversities that both life and others have thrown at us, and now comes the time where we can show the world what we are truly made of. We can't change the past, nor can we rewrite it, but we can shape the future, and that's exactly where our focus needs to be. How rewarding would it be to reach the day where we are blessed with success, happiness, and prosperity, even after all the crap we have had to suffer through? Sure, we would love to have not gone through all that, however it makes the reward of success even more satisfying. What's even better is that we have the power to also enhance and improve the lives of others, by sharing our story, by uplifting them, and by inspiring them. We can make such a positive impact in this world, if we simply believe it. We can heal our heart and soul by helping prevent others from facing the same such tragedies and adversities, by helping those in need, and by creating a future to our own design and desire. It doesn't matter what has happened in the past, good or bad, it's time to let go of it. The future is what's now within your control, but that depends on what decisions you make, and actions you take, right now! You have been hurt in the past before, be it on a few occasions, or many occasions, so don't allow the past to continue making you feel that pain and suffering. Use your journey and story to help and inspire others, as you work towards creating a future so wonderful, it will make all the past horrors invalid. Let go of the past, and allow your heart and soul to heal!
