On a platform with various content creators, with many different interests and personalities, no one who has ever graced Youtube with such outstanding and original content. Kelly Stamps is a visionary and with her dry wit, obsession with the italian dessert tiramisu, love for kpop and 1999 drama Law & Order, she's managed to win over the hearts of 440K subscribers or what she refers to us as, her Stampede.
From the first video I watched by Kelly titled, "minimalism 'cured' my depression" as a fellow depressive, I knew I had stumbled across something worthwhile. The title intrigued me but the video was both extremely funny and informational. Kelly shares how she went from feeling like she had to have so many things, to being content with a suitcase full of belongings. She realized her true worth and created a platform to help others do the same. Kelly gives helpful advice based on her experiences and personal truth. She relates to many by talking openly about her life and being unapologetically herself. That's very inspiring, especially as another Black woman just wanting to do something meaningful.
Kelly's desire to be successful is admirable. She decided to take a chance and try something new. After dropping out of college, she made the decision to relocate to New York from California. One of her goals were to be creative and entertain people. She put a lot of time and effort in her channel and her content reflect that. Kelly's drive and consistancy made it happen. In videos like "level up your minset: from dust to elegance" she shares how to step up your game and to live the life you desire. She also shared tips and advice to other creators who want to start a YouTube channel. Kelly inspires many by openning up about her journey as a creator and encourages her Stampede to let go of fear and chase their dreams.
Not only has Kelly been inspiring, her personality makes for all the fun. You never know what type of video to expect and that's what keeps me captivated. One day she'll post a vlog about her quest for tiramisu, the next she'll perform some of her favorite kpop dances. She loves to flex her Law & Order detective skills from time to time. You can even get professior Stamps, where she shares valuable information about many things. Her personality is quirky and fun. I really appreciate how she stays true to herself. That kind of authenticity on YouTube is rare. That’s why Kelly Stamps is nothing like the rest.

It only took a minute. I was sitting at the computer in my office when the phone rang. I picked up the receiver and then laid it down my desk as I went to find the student who the call was for. Within seconds I was back at my desk, ready to resume typing, when I heard the student yelling obscenities at me for listening in to his call through the handset that was still lying on the desk.
