No one wants to work until they’re old and no one wants to be stuck in a career they do not like. Some people can will make the gamble; others are not interested in risking it all. It seems fear or doubt can be the partaker in these bearings and also deciding if it is worth the risk. Some people have jobs that come with retirement benefits, making it difficult to leave.

Fear stops a lot of people from going after what they want. Some involve life experiences. Doubt mostly leads us to have a debate with ourselves, which is like a friend talking us out of it. Who also welcomes us back into the comfort zone, not ever reaching our true self.

This is not why I am telling you this. It is because of the how much of this plays a part into your everyday life. Keeping you from going out of one door into another, rather good or bad. It can only go as far as you want to take it and go where you want it to go.

Example: You have a good Career, 9 to 5, 20-year retirement and your close to reaching the halfway point. You don’t like your job very much, its weighting on your mental happiness, your mid-age and want to be a comedian. You come along this major shift in careers, what do you do? Would there be something holding you back? It all depends on how you view your living situation.

You hear from most motivational videos, “to give it all you got”, “make the sacrifice to be where you want to be”, and my favorite “never give up”. While most know there are a lot of Chiefs and no Indians now days. Because of this era, we are in, were going into business for yourself is trending without realizing the work needed to run your own business by yourself. If you look at some comedian video, talks about the sacrifice he made of not liking his job, quitting and almost going broke to make it on stage. Wouldn’t that make you want to relate and go on the same path?

If you can relate, then pick from what you see or hear and apply it to your life. Everybody’s path is not the same, make your decision based off what you think would be the best decision for you. Everyone can make it the same way a few people did by rolling the dice. Neither by playing it safe too, some moments are now, and others are later.

Before the next decision ask yourself, Is it worth the risk? Look at your life, look at the pros and cons of things. Think about what you will gain and what you will lose? After that ask Are you willing to go through with it and commit? You have to assert yourself or it will feel like you mad a mistake.

Without making a decision is still a decision, life will pass you by rather that decision is made or not. If the plan is too risky to take right now then, revise the plan. There is no such thing as a perfect plan, there’s always a plan B. Once you master your plan and truly have it down. Then you can decide when and how to start that plan, even when hurdles come your way, you can still make the necessary adjustment.

It is okay to feel what you are feeling, Making the hard decision is something we all have to do. The best time you will have is knowing you took the next step in life. If you do not, then what can you look back on if you still feel like you’re calling is somewhere else in life. The Universe cannot avoid getting you to where you want to be. It’s up to you to see it through.
