"Once you made a person felt loved, once you exerted an effort to make them feel loved - it will never be forgotten. That person will never forget you."

Those words lingered inside my heart as I heard someone said them. I guess it is not important who said those words, but what does he/she mean by that!

Since then, those words never left my mind. Love has always been a favorite topic of mine. Maybe because almost everyone can relate to it.

We all experience love with someone or something. Love is a vague word, a vague topic - for some, the word "love" is something magical, for some, it can be linked to sadness, but all in all, in a chaotic world like this, love is all we need.

Love Is a Scary Thing

No matter how magical it is, no matter how much joy it can bring into our lives, love can sometimes be terrifying.

Because with love, pain is inevitable. We know pain to be the better half of love. And that is the tough part of love - the idea of getting hurt.

The idea of being hurt by someone you trusted the most can be very difficult because it is not easy to fully trust someone, let alone love them wholeheartedly.

Being betrayed by someone you cared so much about is one of the terrifying things about love.

"Sometimes we create our own heartbreaks through expectation."

But keep in mind that when you get hurt, that's when you know you're loving someone truly.

Because you'll never get hurt if you do not have a care for the person. You will never feel the pain if you have no love inside your heart.

In the end, even if you get hurt, the important thing is you learned something from it. So the next time you decide to love someone, you will be more aware and careful about whom to trust.

Because that is also the beauty of loving someone, you'll get hurt but you'll be wise. Yes, love is not always rainbows and sunshine, but it's also not just all about pain.

Love Leaves Beautiful Scars

With all the pain and getting hurt, in the end, a once wounded and bleeding heart will heal and it will become beautiful scars.

Scars that will serve as a reminder of something painful yet beautiful that has happened in your life. A moment where you find your worth, and a moment that leaves you a wonderful lesson in life and love.

Those scars may forever stay but so are the lessons that they taught you.

So, do not be afraid of getting hurt, do not be afraid to cry - feel the pain, embrace it, but never be afraid of loving.

Love might be a scary thing, but try taking a risk and see the magic that it can bring into your life. Because after everything, love will be the only thing that remains.

"Disappointment is the nurse of wisdom." - Sir Bayle Roche

Love Will Never Be Forgotten

There was a time when I attended a mass, and love was the topic.

The moment I entered the premises of the church, I already heard the word "love", and for a hopeless romantic like me, it instantly caught my attention.

The priest shared some of his realizations when he was having his recovery at the hospital after he suffered a mild heart attack.

His name was father Hart and I remember him very well. He opened my eyes when he was talking about his realization of times of uncertainty and suffering.

During the times that he was all alone, he realized that he didn't need anything, he only needs the people that he loves the most, and the people who love him as well.

The people with whom he once shared his care and love.

And those people are the ones that were there for him, giving him the strength to continue, and constantly praying for him. And with that kind of care and love, he knew that it is something that will forever remain inside his heart.

At this time of his life, he realized about caring and genuine love are all that matters. Everything we worked for, the material things, even our loved ones, we will all leave those behind once we passed.

The only thing he knew will remain is love - the love we had, the love we shared, the love we received, it always be there.

Love will always be in our hearts, it will never fade.

The Love That We Have for Ourselves

By Ava Sol on Unsplash

The love that will always stay with us is the one that we have for ourselves.

Among all other kinds of love, this one is different, this one is important because this time it's you.

Love yourself before anyone does. That's the kind of love that will forever remain inside your heart. That's the love that you will spread with the people that is important to you.

Fill your heart with so much love, so that someday when the right time comes, you can share that love with other people. Make yourself hearty because you can never truly love someone if yourself is broken.

You can never fully love someone if you do not have enough love for yourself.

Love Will Always Win

Showing some love is one of the greatest things in this life.

Even with the simplest things, or even with the smallest gestures, we can show our love. It doesn't have to be uttered; it doesn't have to be a grandeur gesture as long as it comes from the bottom of our hearts, and as long as it's full of sincerity.

It is the most important thing; with love, everything is possible, as love can change the world.

And the most important thing to do is to spread the love that we have in our hearts.

Most especially in times like this, where the world needs more positivity, where people need to feel loved the most, and where time is full of uncertainty.

So, don't just find a person who will complete you, rather let yourself fill the missing void.

So that when they left you, you still have yourself.

Still complete, might have scarred but still ready to fight and love.

Still whole and still have love inside our hearts that we can share with the surrounding people.
