“I Was the Problem All Along… And I Didn’t Even Know It”
The hardest truth to accept is the one about yourself”

Written by (Matiullah) Once there was a young boy named Farhan who lived in a small town. He was a normal student with big dreams, but his life always felt difficult to him. Farhan believed that the world was unfair. He thought people did not support him, luck was never on his side, and nothing ever worked for him. If he failed an exam, he blamed the teacher. If he lost an opportunity, he blamed his situation. If something went wrong, he always found someone else to blame. In his mind, he was never wrong. One day, Farhan had an important test. He did not prepare well but still believed he would somehow pass. When the result came, he failed badly. Instead of accepting his mistake, he said, “The exam was too hard… the teacher did not teach properly.” Days passed, and this became his habit. He kept blaming everything around him. Because of this, his life did not improve. His friends started moving forward, achieving their goals, while Farhan stayed in the same place. He felt frustrated and angry. One evening, Farhan was sitting alone, thinking about his life. He saw his old friend Ali passing by. Ali was once an average student like him, but now he was successful and confident. Farhan stopped him and asked, “How did you change your life?” Ali smiled and said, “I stopped blaming others and started working on myself.” Farhan did not fully understand, but those words stayed in his mind. That night, Farhan could not sleep. For the first time, he started thinking differently. He asked himself, “Am I really doing everything right?” “Or am I just blaming others to hide my mistakes?” This question made him uncomfortable. The next day, he decided to observe his own actions. He noticed that: He wasted time instead of studying He avoided responsibility He made excuses instead of improving Slowly, a painful truth came in front of him. 👉 He was the problem. Farhan felt shocked. It was hard to accept. For so long, he believed the world was wrong, but now he realized that he was the one holding himself back. That day changed everything. Farhan decided to take responsibility for his life. He started small. He made a daily routine. He focused on his studies. He stopped making excuses. Whenever something went wrong, instead of blaming others, he asked himself, “What can I do better?” At first, it was difficult. Changing habits is never easy. Sometimes he felt like going back to his old ways. But he reminded himself of the truth he discovered. Days turned into weeks, and weeks into months. Slowly, Farhan started improving. His marks became better. His confidence increased. His mindset changed. Now he understood that success does not come from blaming others—it comes from improving yourself. One day, Farhan met Ali again. This time, Farhan smiled and said, “You were right… I was the problem all along.” Ali replied, “And now you are also the solution.” Those words gave Farhan strength. Years later, Farhan became a successful person. But more importantly, he became a responsible and self-aware person. He learned that the biggest enemy is not outside—it is inside. In life, many people think their problems come from others, from situations, or from luck. But the truth is, sometimes we are the ones creating our own problems. We avoid responsibility, make excuses, and blame others to protect our ego. But real growth begins when we accept our mistakes. It is not easy to say, 👉 “I was wrong.” But that is the moment when real change starts. Farhan’s life changed not because the world became better, but because he became better. Moral: “The moment you take responsibility for your life is the moment your life begins to change.”
