Motivation wavers. Discipline Lasts.

You've got that fresh pump. That new beginning, that new sense of life rushing through your veins telling yourself you want more.. and more.. and more! You don't want to sleep, you don't want to stop the grind! You have goals, your vision is as bright as ever. You've found new meaning to life and it's never felt so refreshing!

The reason or reasons one has for acting or behaving in a particular way.

Something clicked in you that has shown you a new wave of emotion, that just seems to keep giving! Whatever you do with your day, whatever outcome it has.. you just don't seem to care because you continue to show continuous motivation for your goals. You wake up refreshed whether it was 10 hours or 3 hours of sleep. Accomplishing your biggest dreams never felt so attainable. When it comes to humans, we're all similar in the that exact way. That's Motivation.

Now what seperates the winners from the losers, the depressed from the happy, the wealthy from the poor and the successful from the mediocre? "It never seems to last for much longer than a month or two if I'm lucky" is what you may say to yourself after you fall off the cliff and go back to being the same person you were a month or year before. Motivation is not a permanent high on life. Motivation is the kickstart you need to set yourself up for the life you actually want. It was never meant to be your antidote.

Discipline is where 98% of everybody falls right off the map. They forget to "discipline" their daily decisions. Forget the bubbly feeling you have when you get off work and want to hit the gym for 4 hours, or stay home and study for your massive dreams. That shit's gonna fade soon enough and that's where people don't understand the importance of motivation.

The whole reasoning behind motivation is to give you the energy to build discipline. Discipline is when you're knocked down in the dirt bleeding, sweating and fatigued.. when your friends are out partying and having a fantastic vacation, and you're at home building your kingdom. When you've been taking shit at work for days upon days and it feels like it never ends, instead of going to the bar and getting buzzed to "numb" the stress and pain.. you're in the gym sweating your ass off to build a body you're content with.

The late nights, the early mornings and the 16 hour work days. You'll want to get off work early, you'll think to yourself "one more episode".. or maybe "hey, one more bowl of ice cream won't hurt". Yes.. it will. You have to create the mindset that you have no excuses. There have been winners in far worse situations that have made the most of it and came up from the ground swinging like crazy at all the world's shit.

No one ever said it would be that damn easy but it's worth it. I can't stress that enough, that whatever you're going through... it will always be outbeat by mastering discipline for the greater good. If you can't master discipline with the Help of motivation, then it's a waste of time in your life. That's when the imposter syndrome kicks in.. and from personal experience.. that shit is HARD.

The best method that's worked for me with growing my discipline is to completely take the emotion out of the decision making process. Mute your mental ability to feel. Everything that comes through your central nervous system comes from your minds ability to comprehend and allow that emotion to occur. Being able to focus on the moment you're in and extracting any emotional value out of the decision making is a massive key in a successful and more importantly.. HAPPY lifestyle and/or career.

Another way of creating discipline is by setting out the roadmap to your goal; creating a visual or written guide of what it takes to get to that goal, and breaking that massive goal up into chapters with what it takes to grow towards each chapters completion. Anything is accomplishable, but people don't understand that means Tremendous amount of sacrifice, blood, sweat & tears. Sit down in silence for 1 hour of your day, just one and use that to plan out all the steps in each chapter that it takes to get to your final goal. that could look something like

"I want to be financially independent."

How will you accomplish that? Write out a list of jobs or careers that can get you to that point. Once you've gotten at least 3 different options, that's your first chapter. Ex:

Youtuber. Day Trader. Investor. Retail Business Owner. Graphic Design. Culinary Arts. Private Fitness Instructor. Mobile Mechanic. Social Media Manager. Promoter etc.

The list goes on forever.

Once You narrow in on 3 options that intrigue you the most, you start the next chapter. Your next chapter should be..

What does it take to set up a career in any of those options?

If I choose to be a Youtuber, what does it take to start a youtube channel? What will I record and post about? Where and how will I get views for my posts? What can I do to make my videos more intriguing to watch? How many videos will I put out a week? Can I make a list of different ideas and branch out on my videos or should I stay specific only to my niche and focus on that for a while until I grow my audience?

Methods such as these are what help chop an impossible goal down into an achievable goal because you understand what you're doing to get there. You can't get from California to Rhode Island without some sort of navigation or direction. That's exactly why you need a plan to navigate your life and career rather than running around like a chicken with it's head cut off.

Use the motivation TODAY. Use it to build Discipline for your LIFE.
