FROM AN IDEA TO AN EMPIRE:HOW I AM BUILDING SM ECOSYSTEM FROM SCRATCH .

A few months ago had a wake up call about my life . I started asking myself deep and uncomfortable questions like :

-Why am i here?

-What is my purpose in life ?

-And most of all was i born to suffer and never get to escape the rat race?

I decided i wasn't going to settle for an ordinary life and i wanted to build something big for myself-a legacy. I believe everyone has a turning point in life - an idea, a vision that sparks something bigger. For me , that turning point was realizing that Africa needed more than just businesses; it needed a lifestyle revolution. That's when SM ECOSYSTEM was born.

THE VISION: WHY I AM BUILDING SM ECOSYSTEM

SM ECOSYSTEM is more than just a brand , it's a way of life . It's a business where everything lifestyle is considered and one business feeds into the other.Now you see why I call it an ecosystem . This wasn't just something i woke up and decided. This businesses were not picked at random. It was a mixture of deep passion , likes and dislikes plus ideas that were combined to create an empire. It's a business that represents wealth, wellness and empowerment.

DISCLAIMER: I am not saying i am an established business , i am still an aspiring entrepreneur but am here to document and share my journey with you guys.

MY FIRST STEPS TOWARDS SUCCESS

Now i am not trying to create an impression that starting a business is the easiest thing to do in the world but its actually not as difficult as you think.Planning SM was not about rushing into things rather it was about making well thought out decisions and making calculated moves. I knew that to be able to build something as big as i thought capital, gaining experience and strategizing smartly were key.

5 MAJOR STEPS I TOOK WERE:

1. Defining my brand : Choosing a name (SM) and crafting a luxury inspired brand for i knew that for me to change anything from just a thought to a thing i had to give it a name.

2.Investing in self development: I knew i had to gather as much knowledge as i could on how to build a business so i started to read self development , finance and business books in order to master the mindset of success.

3. Changed my environment: Now before you come for me let me explain, i don't mean changing your environment in literal sense but i mean i started being very conscious about what i was putting into my mind because as the say " Garbage in , garbage out". For starters, i deleted all my social media accounts like instagram and tik tok because the were consuming a lot of my time and causing me to be unproductive.

5. Learning new ways to earn income: Like it or not starting a business needs a lost of capital so if you are just starting out you need to work extremely hard to earn income to fund your business and you have to be willing to learn income skills like trading, blogging , tutoring etc.

CHALLENGES AND LESSONS I'VE LEARNT SO FAR:

What's a great thing without obstacles and challenges, as they say " You have to fall in order to rise" here are a few lessons i have picked up along the way:

1.Raising capital is hard: It's not easy raising capital so you have to be open to learning new skills.

2.Not everyone will understand you: Not everyone will support you in this journey and that's okay, somethings you have to do them alone.

3.Patience is key: Building something of this magnitude takes time and you have to be willing to embrace the process and fall in love with the journey.
