Deepica Mutyala, a South Asian beauty entrepreneur, started her career in 2012 with Birchbox. Live Tinted was her first step towards her dream project. Deepica has always wanted to help underrepresented women in beauty. She delved into the stories of these women and empowered them in their ventures. Its videos and editorials encourage women of all colors to feel their best.

Deepica Mutyala, a member of the Live Tinted community, was inspired to create a one-stop solution to dark circles, dark spots and hyperpigmentation after inspiring millions with her beauty hack. Live Tinted's first product was launched in 2019, Huestick. This 4-in-1 multistick can be used as a color-corrector, eye-shadow and blush, as well as lipstick. This product has a unique feature: it is vegan, contains no parabens or sulfates and is FDA approved to be used for eye and lip applications. The Huestick won the Elle's Future of Beauty Award in Innovation and was also recognized on Good Morning America as 'Magic in Pencil'. Deepica became famous and teamed up with numerous brands and campaigns that represented women from minorities castes between 2015-2018. Deepica also partnered with beauty brands such as Unilever, LVMII and Estee Lauder Companies. She also partnered with several non-beauty brands, including Mastercard, McDonald's and Mercedes Benz. Deepica Mutyala was the face of L'Oreal and Samsung's 2018 Academy Awards.

Live Tinted currently ships in the USA and Canada, but plans to expand the facility internationally. 31-year-old, Texas-native Deepica Mutyala and the CEO/Founder of Live Tinted chooses oocyte cryopreservation ("egg freezing") to charter her own path. Mutyala's choice to freeze her eggs is a departure from cultural and societal norms and empowers other women, particularly those of South Asian descent to do the same. For the majority of her 20s, Mutyala was busy building her inclusive beauty brand Live Tinted, a community that creates products for all skin tones. Mutyala felt that despite her professional success, she wasn't making any progress in her personal life. She said that dating was a distraction. She had to leave an abusive relationship where her ex-partner told her that she would make a bad mother because she was too career-oriented. "I didn’t date for five-years. I can remember waking up January 2020 and thinking, "I am going to make it my goal to date this calendar year." My sister gave birth to a son when I was 30. My nephew was my first child. I realized that I wanted to control my life and the time I have to have them. I didn't want any age or timeline to dictate my decisions.

First, she needed to get her family's approval. Mutyala's parents weren't surprised by her unconventional approach. They also recognized the joy having a child would bring. This was a sign she was ready to take on the multi-step task. She visited a Houston doctor who addressed all her questions and resolved her concerns. Mutyala also confided in her personal therapist.

Deepica Mutyala began her journey to create a diverse beauty industry when she was just 16 years old. She says, "I was raised in Sugar Land, Texas," "I was raised in a certain standard of beauty. I dyed my hair blonde and had blue contacts. Mutyala tried to emulate what she saw in her community and the media. But she quickly realized that she should be challenging this standard.
