Brian K. Wright on 14 Years of Success Profiles Radio, Building a Magazine That Lasts, and the One Quality Every High Achiever Shares
Success Profiles Radio has featured over 650 guests and the Ultimate Achievers Magazine just released its 100th edition. This is founder Brian K Wright's story on building both.

Success Profiles Radio has featured over 650 guests: from Kevin Harrington to Darren Hardy and recently reached #6 on the front page of the iTunes Careers chart. Ultimate Achievers Magazine just released its 100th edition. Both milestones did not happen by accident. They happened through persistence, through showing up when no one was watching, and through a quiet, stubborn belief that the work mattered.
I sat down with Brian to talk about what it takes to build something that lasts, what he has learned from interviewing the world's top achievers, and what the future holds for his media empire.
The One Quality
Over 650 guests. From Tom Bilyeu, Dr John Demartini, Kevin Harrington, Dan Lok to Darren Hardy and beyond. I ask Brian what the one quality is that every high achiever seems to share, regardless of their industry or background.
"They had an unwavering belief in themselves," he says. "When things got difficult, they were not afraid to bet on themselves."
Many of them endured divorces, bankruptcy, and bad business partnerships. And yet they persisted until they achieved their objectives. The breakthrough on the other side was always worth the struggle.
That is the thread Brian sees running through every conversation he has had. It is not talent. It is not connections. It is not luck, though that helps. It is the absolute refusal to give up on themselves when everything else was falling apart.
Building an Audience
Success Profiles Radio just reached #6 on the front page of the iTunes Careers chart. I ask Brian what he learned about building an audience in the podcast space.
"Having a great show means having terrific guests, asking great questions, and then getting out of the way and letting the guest talk," he says.
The biggest mistake a host can make, Brian explains, is assuming that they are the attraction. Frequently, a new person tunes in because of the guest, not the host. That is something he had to learn early on.
"My job is to facilitate. The guest is the star. The audience is there for the wisdom. My role is to ask the right questions and then get out of the way."
When you approach hosting with that mindset, everything changes. The questions become less about showcasing your own knowledge and more about drawing out the insights that your audience needs to hear.
The Achievement That Matters
I ask Brian what achievement he is most proud of with Success Profiles Radio, and why it matters.
"I am not any more special than anyone else doing this," he says. "While I have gotten very good at asking great questions, longevity is what sets Success Profiles Radio apart from many other shows."
After over 14 years and hundreds of episodes, the quality of guests Brian gets continues to get better and better. That is not luck. That is reputation. People know that if they come on the show, they will be treated with respect, asked real questions, and given space to share what matters to them.
The longer you stay consistent, the more the industry takes notice. Brian has watched other shows come and go. The ones that last are the ones that show up, week after week, without excuses.
100 Issues
Ultimate Achievers Magazine just released its 100th edition. I ask Brian what it took to get here, and how the magazine has evolved since the first issue.
"Getting to 100 issues has been a huge blessing," he says. "I started it because I wanted to repurpose more content from Success Profiles Radio. Having the people contribute monthly articles means that my audience and I get to experience the wisdom of many other writers."
The quality of contributions Brian gets from his writers continues to get better and better all the time. The magazine is positioned as a premium publication where the content is elite, the featured guests are fantastic, and the ads are minimal.
"Most magazines I see have pages and pages of ads," Brian says. "People prefer to read the content."
That philosophy has not changed since the first issue. He wanted to build something that people actually wanted to open. Not something that felt like junk mail with a pretty cover.
The Vision Ahead
I ask Brian what the bigger vision is for where Ultimate Achievers Magazine is heading.
"I want to expand the vision to go beyond individual subscriptions and move toward group subscriptions in the business community," he says.
He sees it as a resource where readers get insight not only on personal development topics, but navigating through issues the businesses themselves may be facing. The intersection of personal growth and business strategy is where a lot of people are hungry for guidance, and there is not enough quality content serving that space.
The magazine has always been about elevation. Now Brian wants to take that further by making it a tool that business leaders actually use.
The Lesson That 14 Years Taught
I ask Brian what the single most important lesson he has learned about consistency and building something that lasts, whether it is a magazine, a podcast, or any long-form content project.
"Do it anyway," he says without hesitation.
You will not always feel like it. You may not be confident that anyone is paying attention. But the longer you keep going, the more people will see you. Eventually, they will take what you are doing seriously.
"More people are watching you than you think."
That is the lesson that 14 years has taught Brian. There were weeks where he questioned everything. Episodes where he felt like he was talking into a void. Issues of the magazine where he wondered if anyone was reading. But he showed up anyway. And the audience grew anyway.
Consistency is not sexy. It is not glamorous. But it is the only thing that works in the long run.
