Why You Should Write Music or Pursue that Creative Dream

So if you clicked on this, I assume you want to write music or express yourself in some other creative manner. If this is the case, I hope you will read this and not just read the words I have written but take them and apply what you have read to your life today. I want you to pursue this passion for music that is inside of you. Maybe it's not music that is a burning passion in you but something else. That is okay because this post can still encourage you. My goal is to encourage you to the point you will reach for your goals with everything you have.

So you have this idea an inspiration a gut feeling of something that could be cool. What are you going to do with this feeling or idea? Let it die? Why not let it live? This earth only gives you a short amount of time to do any good, so why waste this small amount of time you have to do things that do not inspire you. If you have an idea that you think is cool but do not want to strive to complete it because someone else might not think it is cool, you are missing a great opportunity. An opportunity to both grow yourself and others around you. Yes, there will be people who hate what you make and will do everything they can to make fun of or try to discourage you. But these guys or gals are just internet trolls or maybe even real-life bullies but they are probably saying the things they do to you because they are jealous of the courage you have to put into the world your creativity.

You live in one of the most connected times in all of history. You have the power of influence in your very hands and can either take advantage or you can sit back and watch the world pass you by. Every time you choose to not chase your dreams you are missing opportunities to grow yourself and opportunities to encourage other people around you. Say you have a song idea, there is something about that idea that connects you to someone around you. Maybe somebody you do not even know is going through a similar situation and your song speaks to them. Maybe you are a painter and the new piece of art you share inspires someone else to see the beauty in something. Maybe you are a great storyteller and you can show someone a new point of view on some subject. All these things are bringing humans closer together. As creatives, we need to learn to look past the haters and see the inspired, see the good in the world and focus on who we help or encourage not those who just want to make noise.

Letting fear stop you from creating is not an excuse. Living in 2021 we do not have any good excuses not to follow our dreams. Any resource we could ever need to learn is right at our fingertips. Just by taking a few minutes on google, you can find the answers to all of your craziest answers. You no longer need a massive budget to create and release an album. If you have an iPhone you can do everything from creating a song to releasing it for free. Download GarageBand, create your song, and upload it to SoundCloud. You can then share it with your friends on social media. All of these things are free, excepts for the iPhone. But everyone reading this most likely has some sort of smartphone or computer and there are plenty of free applications to achieve whatever you want.

My final point I want to leave you with is you have everything you need to follow your dreams. Go ahead and close out of your browser, stop scrolling on your social media page, stop watching those silly cat videos on YouTube and go out and create. You could save someone's life or even change the whole world for the better. You will never know until you go and do.
